Misty Christmas, elusive, detante and best gifts of all

- A misty Christmas morning at the farm.  I was trying to capture the energetic Hank in the photo, to no avail.

- Here he isn't again, with his BFF Moby.  Moby is several years older than Hank and we think he is always secretly relieved with niece Abby and nephew-in-law Curtis take Hank home.

- Moby and his feline brother Pete decided to live and let live and share Moby's comfy garage bed on Christmas morning.  December 25 is also Moby's birthday - his full name is Moby St. Nick.

- My sister's favorite gift:  an impression of baby Monroe's hand made into an ornament.  Niece Abby's description of the ordeal and multiple attempts to get this right were funny.

- During the family call, we learned that great niece Mina got what she asked for from Santa:  a stuffed pink pony and chocolate ice cream.   Here she is with the snowman she helped build, up in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.

And it's back to work this morning for Auntie Lynn.  Sigh.  But it's all good.

Almost heaven, Shenandoah....

PRICELESS shot of your niece eyeing that big cold white guy.

A misty Christmas would be nice. Did you swim in the pool? It's heated, right?

I did have a great Christmas, thank you Lynn! It is icy here with the temp dropping later today and some s-n-o-w! We may be stuck! I see your Christmas was grand, as well!

Adorable pics! I love Monroe's ornament and Mina looking up at her snowman.

I think you captured Hank's energy, as it's clear his tail hasn't been still for a moment ;)

Merry Christmas, Lynne. We could have used more snow, but... Looks like they got some in the VA mountains.

Granny Annie -

It was difficult, but I got through it. :) I did have a wonderful time - I was sad it was over!

Joanne -

Yes - that made it so great.

Michael -

I agree!

Jannie -

It is priceless. She is. :) No - it's not heated, although there is a hot tub attached to it that is. I guess we could have done that, but we stayed busy.

Your great-niece looks like she's thinking about doing something to the snowman. Perhaps removing the nose?

Chocolate ice-cream will make anyone's Christmas that much more special.

Great shots and I love the last one with the snowman. It reminds me of the first time my kids built one on one of our Boston trips. It was freezing but so much fun!

Love the pups, too!

Yes - it's very cold and windy here tonight, too.

Stay cozy!

Riot Kitty -

I think I did. He had been in his very large crate during the gift opening, so he was ready to run around when the door opened. :)

Sage -

Wow - Virginia got more snow that you???

Maybe and I agree. :)

Ily -

I have never built a snowman - I'm glad your kids got to.

Looks like all the pets had a good Xmas too-
What a precious ornament- more so for the effort involved. The Mina pic is priceless too! That storm is due here very soon, but supposed to turn to rain.
Glad you had a good family time. After that work isin't so bad.

I brought jingle bells n candy for everyone to work.

I love this post. The photos are stunning, but it is the love behind them which makes them glow. Thank you.

Shionge -

I hope you had a great Christmas, too, and that you have a wonderful new year.

Sandie -

No - I was at the farm in north Florida. I just included that pic of my sister's place in Virginia and her granddaughter building a snowman.

Joe -

I know - poor me. :) I had a wonderful holiday.

Monroe was feeling like making that ornament apparently, but they got it done after multiple tries.

I'll bet you are a hit with your coworkers!

Blue Shell -

Hope you are better soon!

The Elephant's Child -

And love them, I do. Thank you for seeing that.
