Number 1 Best Friend, good idea and Mom Yoga Now

- The Celtic cross that I was given last weekend at the Highland games.  Some friends (a grandmother, mother and 12-year-old son) to our Clan tent got it from a vendor who makes Celtic woodcarvings and presented it to me at the Clan dinner on Saturday night for being their "Number 1 Best Friend" at the games.  That's what I like most about those games - we are all family for a couple of days.

- They have a loose connection with our Clan and adopted our tent to hang out in.  And I like it when they are there, because they are fun.  :)  The grandmother said (tongue in cheek, of course) that I should hang it at my doorway to "keep vampires away", and that seemed like a jolly good idea!  So there it is, hanging in my foyer.

- And if you have time for a peaceful six minutes, watch this video of a mom and yoga instructor, who lives in Kansas, who makes time for yoga while her children play around her.  It's lovely.

I love that cross. I have a really ornamental one that has travelled with me from home to home and looks great wherever it ends up being hung.

Love the yoga video, Lynn! :)

Number 1 Best Friend is an awesome accolade.
And, speaking of awe, I don't know whether I am more in awe at that mama's flexibility or her precision. I would certainly have either kicked or fallen on the child.

Wow. That was a wonderful video. I watched the entire thing and loved how the woman interacted with the kids, especially the little girl who was trying her own "yoga" moves.

The other thing amazing was how flexible that woman was:~)

The cross is very nice and how you got it is even better:~)

Your cross is lovely. I did yoga for a time. Sometimes I liked it, sometimes, not so much. This video encourages me to try again.

Neat present!

Yoga has been suggested to me. Mr. RK says I would sit there and yell, "Hurry up!"

The Celtic cross is beautiful. And the fact that it was a gift makes it even more so : )
I enjoyed watching the yoga video and seeing the gentleness and patience of the mom's spirit around her children.
I wish I could stretch like that!

Lovely Gift! I tried Yoga many many years ago---all that deep breathing in a very hot humid room---I ended up with a terrible Bronchial Infection...I understand why now! It was the perfect environment for my lung disease....! So, that was the end of Yoga for me....But I know people who swear by it on many many levels.....!

Beautiful cross and I love how the mom continues to do yoga while the kids go on the mat, around and under her, the ball even joins her...and she's still so serene and limber doing her thing. Lovely!

And I bet you've not seen one vampire since hanging the Celtic cross. It works!!!

Me, too!

That's neat. And I'm glad you liked the yoga video. I loved it when the little girl hugged her mom around the waist.

Elephant's Child -

Isn't it? I think so, too.

And I'm in awe of the flexibility, too. I used to go to a yoga class, but we didn't do that kind of stuff. :)

Sara -

I thought it was such a peaceful few minutes.

And I loved how I got the cross, too. :)

I think that's a great idea - I hope you do it if you find a class you like.

Ha! He might be right. :)

A wonderful moment, getting that gift.

And I wish I could stretch like that, too.

Naomi -

Oh my - that couldn't be good. My friend Bev went down two dress sizes when she started doing yoga - I wish I was flexible enough to try.

Ily -

I know - I loved that. It's good to see you!

Lee -

I haven't seen one vampire since. :)

Your surrogate family is so nice to give you the cross, plus it's a talisman just in time for Halloween! Must be tough not to move poses when kids are about-
