The answer has to be yes, bobble heads and the Pilgrims

- Spotted at the shopping center near work last Friday - this wondrously pink Thunderbird.  If you click to enlarge, you can see the pink dice hanging from the rear view mirror.  A woman walking up the sidewalk said, "Isn't that amazing?  I wonder if she's wearing all pink?"  The personalized car tag told that tale.  It read "PINKBRD" (Pink Broad.)

- These adorable bobble-head Halloween figures at the drive through window at Starbucks on Saturday.  I love that the girl has a blackbird on her head.  Alas - no trick or treaters came to my door that evening.  I had even bought some chocolate to add to my collection at the drugstore that afternoon.  Favorite moments there:  a woman, also buying chocolate, and I agreeing that it was really for us, not them.  And an Uber driver buying three large bags of candy for the "drunk" people he would be driving home from bars later.  Very thoughtful, that.

- And at home yesterday, my Pilgrim salt and pepper shakers got to come out of the cabinet, where they reside most of the year.  I firmly believe that Thanksgiving should be celebrated before we even start thinking about Christmas (having spotted Christmas stuff out in stores already.)

Hi Lynn - I love pink cars - though don't think I'd have one myself .. but might be tempted! I'd change from an introvert to an extrovert!!! What fun photos and thoughts - the Uber guy, you celebrating Thanksgiving before Christmas comes around ... cheers Hilary

Well we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK so we tend to go straight from Halloween to Guy Fawkes Night which is on the 5th of November then we'll move head over heels into Christmas. Whoppee.

I can't say I'd ever want to be seen in that pink car but I can imagine for the right person it would be very cool indeed.

I agree; no Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving!

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here, but if we did, I'd agree with not starting to think about Thanksgiving until after Christmas. I like your pilgrims....

What fun it would be to have a car like that...and dress accordingly when driving it!

I love your salt and pepper shakers. We, of course, don't have Thanksgiving down this way....

Christmas stuff in the stores already??? I'm with you. Let's Celebrate Thanksgiving before we get started on Christmas....! WONDERFUL Pilgrims--- They are cute as they can be, and perfect for The Season, aren't they?

Our family is most excited about Thanksgiving this year. We will gather at my daughter's home and will only have two missing family members but we will face time with them. My god son in Germany and my grandson in Navy in Florida cannot join us. We are all averting our eyes from Christmas decorations:-)

Thanks for popping by my blog today, Lynn! That pink T-bird makes me think of pepto-bismol for some reason. Also the drunk Uber passengers.

That's funny, I would have thought it stood for "Pink Bird," but I like your idea better! Great car!

At Michael's they set half an aisle of Christmas stuff out after July 4th. Just in case, I guess!! To snag those really organized people I used to fantasize about being -- doing up my cards in July, gifts all mailed by Nov. 1st. :) However... that would take away, imo, from enjoying said traditions nearer to The Season, perhaps by crackling indoor fire with coffee or nog in hand.

Some of our Christmas lights ARE up, but only because still from last year, the really high up ones, hard to install. Luckily, their cords blend right in to the eaves' white trim, and the deciduous trees have pretty-much covered them all since spring!! :) I did take down all lights near the front of the house, tho! :) And I promise, none will be illuminated until after Thanksgiving!!

Cute bobbleheads! I remember one header of Blue Bunny's depicted a bird on his head. And guess what?!! BB has just married!!!!! He and his lovely bride Pink Bunny (she has a car like that) left last week for a 3-year world cruise. BB got really lucky on some Internet stock and cashed it in, with ton$ and ton$ left over that even their grand-bunnies should never have to work a day in their lives. :)

And funny, what popped into my mind was Pink Bird for the car. Makes me think of Ladybird Johnson. Our hike-and-bike trail has had its named changed in recent years to Ladybird Lake from Town Lake. Which is actually a river!! The same one that runs along our local community park.
