Golden trees, festivity and off to a good home

- I still haven't put up my Christmas tree yet (due to the effects of a lingering head cold), so I'm admiring other trees.  Loved these golden trees in the antique shop window.

- When my sister was visiting from northern Virginia, we kept our eyes out for festive holiday earrings to go with her reindeer outfit.  She was to dress as a festive reindeer in a neighborhood Christmas party choir.  (I saw photos - it was awesome and she found some earrings during the trip home.)  Now I'm seeing festive earrings everywhere - this batch was dandy!

- A printing company client brought these mums in around Thanksgiving as a thank you gift.  But when they started looking a little peaked, someone sat them by the loading dock door.  I was standing there looking at them, when coworker Bobby walked by; truly the nicest man I know.  He asked if he could have them - he hated to see them thrown out.  So they went home with him and he planted them.  I love that.

I have a tiny, wire tree. All that fits! Earring ornaments are so cute- but heavy.Hope you are recovered to get the little tree out soon- I like to save plants too- but my window plants are all dwindling without a south facing window.

Oh yes, if you have the space you can always plant your mums in the ground. Glad they went to a happy home! Hope you are better soon, you must get well before Christmas! :-)

I'm not putting up a Christmas tree or decorations, but you've just reminded me I must dig out my golden reindeer and place him on my coffee table where he sits for the duration of the Festive Season! I meant to do bring him out from hiding yesterday...and forgot! :)

Hope that lingering head cold leaves you soon!
Thanks for your kind words regarding my mom. I'm sorry you had to see your mom go through the same. There's just no easy way about this.

Hi Lynn - love the Christmas trees. Your sister's concert sounds fun and I'm pleased she found suitable earrings. The Mums will flower wonderfully for Bobby - now he's planted them out for a new life. Hope the head cold has lingered away ... and the rest of festivities are happy times - cheers Hilary
