I've had alot of bad ...So much snow this year! <br />I've had alot of bad luck trying to save herbs for the winter even in the cool, not frozen backroom-<br />If the stem isin't brittle, it may survive a dormant state n sprout again. That's what spring is for... I've brought in the Lavender n Thyme which both are brown now. <br />Cardinals are winter birds here, n weather the snow gracefully! There's lots of it planted in many beds around here and seems always to come back from the cold. that is in the ground, of course. If not, as you say you can buy some more. And as you probably know, it grows relatively fast.<br /><br />sweet cardinals. we've had ones for years around our house too.
