Favorite beautiful place, delicious and busy

- A meeting at a favorite beautiful place - Columbia Theological Seminary, looking deserted today due to final paper writing, I am told.

- A delicious pot pie on a cold day at the nearby Corner Pub warms the soul: spicy chorizo sausage and butternut squash in a cream base topped with flaky pastry.

- Looking over at the grounds of a park on the drive back to the office and spotting an enormous white cat, his eyes fixed upon something he is intent upon capturing. He quietly inches forward, eyes never wavering.

Am I the first? Can it be?

First, the photo is lovely. I've never been there, but I may have to give it a visit next time I'm in the area.

That pot pie sounded delicious and perfect for a chilly day. Chorizo to warm the blood :)

And I know exactly what cat pose you're talking about. Our black kitty was doing it last night, and I waited to see what he was watching: our other kitty, leisurely sauntering out of the woods!

That building looks like a beautiful piece of architecture.

And pot pie...mmmm!!

Meredith -

You are first! Bingo, as they say. I took the photo from the porch of the library. All the buildings have that gothic look - I love to go there. I am printing a journal that is edited there.

This kitty seemed about to pounce on something in the leaves, but the light changed and I had to go forward.

The pot pie was delicious and exactly what I wanted. I am so often disappointed in restaurant food, that this seemed just the ticket and the waitress said it was her favorite.

Gorgeous shot, Lynn!

Pot pies are perfect comfort food.

I can picture the white cat in the hunter's crouch...Charlie's been adopting the pose to stalk her arch-nemesis (squirrels), but she can't maintain it very long and ends up dashing and barking!

Sounds like Charlie has a little cat in her. She must have been watching Stripey, who certainly knows a thing or two about stalking, right?

Yummy!! That pie sounds heavenly.

Psst, confession. Cats are beginning to grow on me. Don't tell my kids. ;-)

Jewel -

I'll never tell. I remember the photo of your neighbor's cat sleeping on your porch furniture.

That looks like a nice place to visit, very peaceful. That pot pie sounds delicious too!! Now I'm hungry...LOL

Kim -

It is a beautiful and peaceful place. My women's group at church has a retreat there every year and I have gothic dreams all night. :)

That pub has the best rib-sticking food. Their soup of the day was Pork and Parsnip soup. We didn't try that, but it sounded interesting.

I'm so glad I don't have a term paper due- I've done my share already- That pot pie sounds delish- never heard of such a combination, I want one!
Nothing as intensely focused as a feline with prey chosen!

Riot Kitty -

I love to go there - it is so peaceful.

The pot pie did give me a bit of heartburn, but it was delicious. I am with you on the term papers! :)

Oh I miss that lovely place! (and all of you!) :)

Whitney!

We miss you, too. It was so quiet and deserted that day. I am printing "The Journal for Preachers" now and had a meeting in the library. I took the photo from the steps.

I love keeping up with your adventures in Belfast. You make me feel as if I am there, too.
