Cerulean blue, sitting up nap and sweet treat

- The chapel and bell tower that overlook the graves of fallen heroes in Milledgeville, Georgia. The sky was a lovely cerulean blue on Saturday.

- Waiting for a repairman to arrive at our family home (up for sale) in my home town. He is late, so I sit in the cushy chair in the living room and put my head back for a sitting-up-nap. It is perfectly quiet except for the faint sound of a lawn mower down the street.

- My sister says, "Have a blonde brownie for me!" And so I do wander into the best bakery in the world where there are blonde and chocolate brownies for sale and my favorite German Nut Bars. Yum.

I will be posting Monday, Wednesday, Friday this week. Cheers!

Blondies are one of the best things ever invented on this earth. I LOVE them!

Lynn! I will always remember Meryl S. taking Ann H. to task over the
cerulean blue sweater she was wearing based on the color introduced years earlier in a runway show (after she laughed at the belt!!...in the Devil Wears Prada) Loved, loved that exchange!!!! Also, blonde brownies are my absolute favorite! Picturing you eating that and also sitting in your family home...wish I could have joined you! It was very hot here and rainy on and off this weekend.

I have a great many sit up naps. :D It allows me sleep only 4 hours a night. :D

I've never heard of blonde brownies, what are they like?

This sounds so peaceful and the sky is truly blue. I had to look up cerulean blue:~)

Sitting up naps to the faint sound of a lawn mower sounds like summer.

I hope yours is going well:~)

And now I want dessert.

They are delicious - I love them, too.

I wish you could have joined me, too - although it was very hot there. Sizzling hot.

I love that word cerulean. :)

Blonde brownies are a bar cookie made with brown sugar and I suspect lots of butter. Those have a thick layer of caramel icing on the top. Yum.

Sara -

I love the smell of freshly mowed grass - it does say summer to me.

Riot Kitty -

I hope you got dessert!

So that's what to call that color sky- had forgotten the word. Beautiful pics! The tower is nifty! Those mowers really can't be ignored. So intrusive, like Ice Cream Truck music. We have 3 that go thru here now.
I'd like to try all those yummy brownies! Lucky you!
I was wondering why Tues post wasn't up! Guess the blogger world has us slowing down- But I'm keeping up better!

Jeff -

It feels so strangely abandoned - it still has lots of furniture in it, but no parents. When I'm there I close my eyes and imagine sounds and smells from the kitchen, grandchildren running in from playing, sisters chatting in the corner, mom and dad smiling at each other at their daughter in the cushy chair with a book on her lap.

Mama Zen -

Story of my life. :)

happygirl -

Do you ever sit up in your office chair and nap? I have learned to do that - at lunchtime, of course.

Snaggle -

I just love that word and that blue sky seemed to call for it that day.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I took a wee break. Hope all is well with you, my friend.

The clouds redeem the skies, and heighten the blue.

Those clouds reflect perfect weather days. The kind that lend themselves a wee nap and lots of restful inspiration.

Stopping in from Sara's blog.
