My pleasure, great service and the goodbye girl

A windy drizzly day, but the trees sure are beautiful...

- The upside of having a cold all week is going by Chick-fil-A for chicken noodle soup at lunchtime. Delicious. But the best thing, they respond to your request at the drive-through-ordering-thing with "My pleasure." And say it again when I thank them as they hand out the soup at the window.

- Stopping by the Wal-Mart car service center for an oil change and an employee who is off duty, and only there to pick up his paycheck, rings me up at the counter because he spotted me waiting. More excellent customer service.

- My client, who I usually see at her home, brings her baby into the printing company. Wee Claire immediately waves and says, "bye bye" to me, since I am the one always leaving.

Sometimes it's the little things that will make my day, like hearing "my pleasure" or someone who goes out of their way to help. And a cute baby never hurts. I hope good things happen to you this weekend - let me know in a comment if they do.

I love the way we know just about everyone in our little community when we pop into the market or a local restaurant. They're all smiles and hellos and it feels great to be a part of it all. It's like Mayberry in Miami sometimes. :)

I should have my friend who's lonely and going through a divorce work on three good things every day...maybe start a journal or blog. We should ALL do that! The world would be a better place with so much thankfulness.

PS - Love your fall photo!

That's so lovely that your community is like that. It's one of the things I miss about living in a small town. The suburb I live in in Atlanta is a driving community and a bit impersonal (except for yesterday.) :)

Tell her if she starts a blog listing her three good or beautiful things, I'll come to it. That idea is not original to me - a woman in the UK started it with her blog "Three Beautiful Things" and she encourages others to blog and do it, too. Anyone who emails their 3BT link to her, she links on the side of her blog. http://threebeautifulthings.blogspot.com/

Your blog is one of the good things that happened to me today! I especially love your Friday posts wishing everyone a good weekend. I hope you have a good weekend, too.

Dearest lovely Lynn,

Kelly and I are big fans of that noodle soup. I had a large bowl of it last Saturday, and wanted one last night after her gymnastics, but it was her turn to choose. So Jimmy-John's it was!

Yes, they say "My Pleasure" here too! I love that company. And if you're eating IN the restaurant they keep plying you with free refills. No other fast food place does that, to my knowledge. And closed on Sunday to honor the Sabbath is a classy deal too.

I want to hug those trees!

And that baby.

And you. (((((HUGGING YOU!))))

Good things are going to happen this weekend. I'm going to a birthday dinner on Saturday, and on Sunday I'm hoping to meet a friend to see Puss In Boots.

I am very impressed by that Wal-Mart employee. That is going above and beyond the call of duty!

Only you are enough of an optimist to see the bright side of a cold! I get to see Blake this weekend, so that is a YAY! event for me.

Thanks for the beautiful pic with the dazzling tree color! Never heard that "You're Welcome" like greeting here ever- but I don't go out for food much. So kind of the off duty guy-
At work today actually 3 Little ones came in for Paycheck pick-ups. A two year old blonde gorl with Grandma, n a big 3 sis with 3-month old baby brother came around to greet everyone. so well behaved too. Made me miss my grandkids all day. Early work this week-end again.
Have a good one

I've always found the staff in nearly ever shop I go into in the States to be helpful and charming. Not something I'd say about staff here in the UK!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend Lynn!

Hmmm...well, I don't know about experiencing good customer service, but when I do see a child during my daily wanderings having fun and in good mood, it does brighten the current moment of the day.

So I guess you can call that good customer service of the unintentional variety.

Will do Lynn....(let you know about the good things that happen!)

I love all three of these. One neat thing in my weekend will be using my slow cooker aqain today. All day long, the house will smell heavenly, and dinner will be a much-anticipated delight.

The stores down here do. Hopefully it's not regional. It's my go to soup when I have a cold.

I'm glad you have had that experience here.
