Jewel tones, commute chat and lovely dinner

- This is what happens when one doesn't have a blog photo for the next morning - one takes a photo of her friend's two drinks.  :)  Just kidding - the one on the right is mine and I justify having an adult beverage on a weeknight because it has pomegranate juice in it.  Full of antioxidants and it looks like a sparkling jewel.

- The afternoon rush hour gives me time to have a long chat with friend Ginny, at home with health issues.  Our conversation lasts nearly the entire hour it takes me to get home from work.  And then I return friend Leisa's call - we often chat during our respective commute.  Neither of us has plans for dinner, so we meet in the middle and catch up.  That's not her in the photo above, she took a dive to the right as I snapped the picture with my phone.

- A turkey burger with goat cheese in the center and hand cut french fries.  Yum.  And still home before 8pm.  :)

I hope your weekend is full of friends, fun and laughter.  Have a lovely one!

Chats with friends are the most rejuvenating things in the world. I wish I had them more often!

Hi Lynn .. what a lovely way to finish a day off - sounds just wonderful .. giving and receiving.

Love the turkey burgher with goats cheese - sounds too delicious! I'd have red wine in my pomegranate glass ... sorry!

Damyanti -

I wish I did, too - I have the most wonderful friends.

Hilary -

That drink was too much money for such a small amount of liquid - I should remember that every time, but I don't. :) I like red wine, too.

Cheers!

Sandie -

No - I don't know blogger Ginny, but may have seen her name around. This is my friend Ginny from church.

Granny Annie -

Even the hour commute? It was a nice evening - other than that. And then I fell asleep the minute I sat on the couch. :)

I'm in closet cleaning mode, so may do more of that. There's a gallery opening I'm going to with friends tomorrow night. That's about it.

I'm surprised about the Twinkies, but never ate them due to their loooong shelf life. :)

Even when I have just eaten, your blog makes me hungry! Being Irish, I have never met a potato I didn't like - which is why I usually don't like fries (not enough potato), the hand-cut ones being an exception.

I hope your drink tasted good too! All the healthy eating you've accomplished- you deserve it! (Just not 3 every night).
Table Diving is a lost art- some folks are still internet shy I guess!
Sounds like a great healthy-fast food compromise with the fries!

This is a great week-end for me so Far- Not Working-YAY! Hope yours is fun n relaxing too, before the big Thanks travel week gets underway.

Oh yeah- TG I don't work for the Hostess bakery!

Cloudia -

Thank you - that's what makes me want to keep doing it.

Riot Kitty -

I do like to blog about food. :) Hand cut fries are the best - that's why Leisa and I went there. At the end of the meal, we talked about that we should have just gotten those and called it a day.

Snaggle -

So glad you are enjoying your time off. And really glad you are not a Twinkie baker. :) I imagine you make some good things.

Yummy drinks and story behind them. LOVE how you justify the pomegranate drink...reminds me of when I was a teen and said Screwdrivers were good for us because of the Vitamin C. :)

Joe -

That's why I like to talk during my commute - at home I just like to relax. :) I do have a lot of wonderful friends.

Mama Zen -

So yummy!

Scarlet -

I debated about posting adult beverages, but decided that healthy juice added made it OK. :) Leisa's had grapefruit juice.

G -

I'm saying.

Jannie -

It was some kind of fruit garnish. Aww - I'm flattered and hope you got a great night sleep.
