Sleeping on the back porch, weekend recap and watching

- This sleepy cat on the back porch of a nearby antiques shop.  There was a wide-eyed gray kitten, too, who disappeared under the swing just before I snapped the shot through the back door window.  The owner says the kitten belonged to another cat, who has vanished, so she and this shop cat take care of it.

- Friday night dinner, Saturday morning walking, antiquing, The Flight of the Monarch Butterflies at the Fernbank Museum IMAX theater, Rummikub, Saturday night dinner, Sunday morning walking, church (where everyone said we look just alike), brunch, more Rummikub and then...

- Watching my sister's car until it leaves my sight.  It is our family custom to do this with each other when we depart.

It sounds like a perfect 'sister' weekend!

Kitty looks like she's having a peaceful snooze. I like your family custom of watching the car til it's out of sight. That's sweet.

This left me a little sad at the end, thinking about living far from my sister too.

But, the whole first parts of it made me hap-hap-happy indeed! Funny, I've actually got a sleeping cat's head about halfway covering my left hand as I type this. karma Kat.

Is it your birthday today???

We not only watch our guest depart, all family members know to honk as they drive away. It is a must. My sister is coming to see me tomorrow and I cannot wait.

Talon -

I did - we are going to make sure we have more time like that in the future.

Riot Kitty -

It is. And thank you, my friend.

Granny Annie -

There you are! And maybe I'll try the honking next time I leave her house. :)

Having an antiques shop must be fun! they always get to have pets around too! I always like folks kind enough to care for strays no problem!
Visit sounds fun- but what is Rummikub- a card game?
We used to always wave as they drove away, n call to say we were home safe until after my Mother was gone- now all that is sporadic. Good that you continue the ritual.

It sounds like it was a wonderful birthday weekend. I'm always jealous of stories of sisters. I only had brothers and there would be no antique shops or Flight of the Monarch Butterflies with my brothers. Happy Birthday. :)

Like Happygirl, I don't have sisters too so I'm glad I have two daughers now hehehehe...

What a great weekend recap :D

Snaggle -

The owners of that antiques shop live upstairs. So neat.

Rummikub is a tile game. I balked at first when our other sister taught it to us, because I don't like adding up things, but it is quite fun.

happygirl -

I'll bet there are good points to having brothers, too. :)

Shionge -

Awesome that you have daughters!
