Finding her, secret garden and filling it in

- This cemetery is around the corner from my office and on a whim yesterday, I stopped by to see if I could find a beloved great aunt's grave.  She passed away in 1983.  And I did find it.  Someone had told me the there was a great view of the Atlanta skyline at the top of the cemetery, and so there is.

- Friend Leisa gave me this "grown-up" coloring book for my birthday.  I've been wanting one, because I secretly love to color.  As it turns out - apparently a lot of grown-ups do, because these books are turning up everywhere.  Interesting that after I ordered the Prisma colored pencils from Amazon, this exact book was suggested to me by Amazon as something I might like.

- I chose an easier page to start with, but this is only as far as I've gotten.  (Click to enlarge.)  Can't wait to finish it though.  I wish there was more time to color.

Maybe this weekend - I'm ready for it!  Have a great one, my friends!

Nice. Someone gave me a colouring book and pencils for my birthday, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm always more tempted to read... I should give it a chance!

Love that view - and wonder why so many cemeteries do provide a room with a view.
Have fun in your secret garden.

I got a few of those for my wife this past Christmas and she's really enjoyed doing them.

What a coincidence in that we both received the same coloring book as a birthday gift this month. I also received one called Oceans by the same illustrator and then bought the Enchanted Forest by the same illustrator. And, my birthday treat to myself was some of the Prismacolor pencils too. And, like you, I have only started a small portion...but there's no rush to finish.

That is a great view of the Atlanta skyline. I have a fond memory of climbing Stone Mountain behind a family and as we reached the top, the family turned around to see the buildings on the horizon and one of the kids said, "Look Mom, it's NEW YORK CITY!"
HA!
I ADORE the book "The Secret Garden". I don't know if you have read it as an adult, but you should. It is a wonderful book. (I first read it when I was 8 years old. I had my English heart very early!!)

That's a lovely view from the cemetery.

I like the idea of adult colouring books, though I've never yet bought one. I remember the wonderful geometric adult colouring books that came out when i was a teenager.

The colouring in books for adults are really the "thing" at the moment. They're very popular it seems. Very intricate...and they'd be good therapy for the mind, too, I imagine.
