In bloom again, good things are going to happen, and smiles

The planted Easter lilies are blooming right now.  They came from my church a couple of years ago and neighbor Rhonda planted them in our building's communal flower bed at the condos.  They looked so beautiful yesterday morning covered in raindrops.  And my car managed to photo bomb once again!

Remember the garden flag I spotted in Brasstown, North Carolina?  I posted about it here.  It was a delightful surprise to get some happy mail last week from friend and blog friend Leonora, saying she "couldn't resist."  So nice!  I love to read Lee's blog, "A Journal of Days" - lately she's been writing about her late father's experiences in World War II - an amazing journey of discovery.  Thanks again, Lee!

I couldn't think what to do with the white corsage I was given on Mother's Day to honor my late mother, so I put it in the fridge, on top of the coffee canister.  It made me smile every time I opened the door.

Lilies are my favorite flower. I enjoy most flowers but there is something extra special about a lily.

Hi Lynn- that's a great idea for the lilies - brightens everyone's day ... while your corsage is obviously enjoying its chilling time ... what a wonderful idea for people who have lost their mother's ... cheers Hilary

If I had come across that flag in my travels I too would have sent it to you. Good for Lenora. A flower for my mother on top of a coffee container would also be very appropriate.

Love the lilies. We planted fifty (not all Easter lilies) in our latest bulbfest and are really looking forward to them flowering.
The corsage is a lovely touch, and would make opening the fridge even more of a treat than usual.

That fridge reminds me of when my old produce department took care of floral and we had all kinds of stuff chilling for prom

The Easter lilies are spectacular. You'd better keep an eye out...beneath the blooms you might find a couple of chocolate eggs! :)

Hey Lynn,

Thought I would come by to comment one last time as I ride off into the Blogger sunset and move myself elsewhere. I really have enjoyed reading your blog for the past several years and I hope you keep on blogging.

Awesome Lilies there! Glad you got that flag, n thanks for the interesting link! will read- It's good to have the little bump to smile as you go about daily stuff. I have a pin awarded to my Mother that keeps getting bumped into when searching for small things which never fails to brighten my day. I always open n look at at it!
Happy Memorial Week-end to you!

You are welcome, sweet friend! The corsage in the fridge brings back memories of proms and such when we would place our corsages in the fridge just like that. Eventually they got thrown out, but how nice to see them for a while each time we opened the fridge.

Those are quite beautiful. We don't have as many here as in the South.
