Good Things Happened: Early morning, crisp and rare treat

Things have been quiet here, which I never mind.  So here are three random good things from the past few days:

An early morning visit to the dry cleaners before work.  The sky was so gorgeous.  I love this time of morning, right before things get crazy.

The crisp beauty of the red and white flowers on these plants at my work place (not sure what they are.)

When I was traveling with my family a few weeks ago, during one of the airport stops, niece Abby said, "I wish I had a fountain drink as big as my head."  We agreed there is just nothing like a Diet Coke from a fountain (a rare treat for me, since I don't think it's good for you.)  So this is the photo I texted her last Saturday, when I was out and about and especially thirsty, with the caption, "So I got a fountain drink as big as my head."  :)

I hope your weekend is full of delight, my friends!

A fountain drink as big as your head sounds like a great line that some Ad agency would pay someone a great deal of money to come up with. :D

There is something very nice about an early morning start before the world turns crazy. Happy Weekend Lynn!

Hello, it is a lovely sky shot. The flowers are pretty too. I stopped drinking coke a long time ago, I may rarely have one with a meal when I am out. Enjoy your day and weekend!

So cute about the fountain drink. When I did my shopping a couple of days ago, I saw fruit-flavored Diet Coke. I had never seen that before except for the lime kind that's hard to find. (but that I love.)

Diet Coke is one of my rare guilty pleasures too!

Did you know in New York it is illegal - they can't sell that big size! True.

Look at that sky!
Big fountain drinks remind me of the movie theater. That's usually where I would indulge in something like that... with popcorn, of course : )

Hi Lynn - cyclamen!! Thankfully I've never liked fizzy drinks much ... I'm happy with my water ... take care and all the best - I hope your niece has one of those 'cups' by now?! Cheers Hilary

First I found myself wishing for a Dry Cleaners near me. Haven't seen one in ages. I need to have my mother's pashmina cleaned. Second, are you sure those flowers are real? They look artificial. And third, that is definitely a big fountain drink. Wished I liked soda. I have started keeping mini cokes but it takes me all week to sip just one when I get a stomach upset.

All good things, except maybe for the fountain drink (but then I mainly drink unsweetened ice tea and have since high school which is odd, I know, for a Southerner.

I love those ring bells! have one on my windowsill. The best sounding one is in storage somewhere with a bell collection.
