Camping, legacy phrase and gleaming

- Seeing the new year in while I am a little under the weather, my companion and I camped out respectively on sofa, and chair-I-have-lost-control-of. :)

- My sister reports from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, that "it is colder than Billy Blue!" Yes - I asked. She doesn't know who Billy Blue was, only that her late mother-in-law used to say that.

- Working as a team to "take down the greens" after church service on Sunday. The Advent decorations and tree have been packed away once again. I like seeing the bare church with only its gleaming wood.

That chair looks nice, and so does the queen of it! (Or king?)

Evalinn -

It is the Malabar chair that Pottery Barn used to sell. Queen Sophie (and her late companion Cleo) adopted it the moment it was put into place. :)

Hope you're feeling better, Lynn!

Mama Zen -

I am better - just trying to shake a residual cough.

Sophie knows a good thing when she sees it (and claims it in the regal way of all felines).

lol @ Billy Blue - nonsensical, but it works!

Hope your skies are blue today and the sun is shining and your feeling at least 100x better!

I'm glad you are feeling better now. Queen Sophie looks very happy.

My dad used to say that "it is colder than a well-digger's tail!" I thought about that this a.m. - 18 degrees here.

I am sure to be better soon - thank you!

Joe -

Sophie is very happy and talks to me every time I walk by.

I have a wicker loveseat that was taken over by my dog a long time ago.
Hope you are feeling better!

I have a chair-I've-lost-control-of. Leo has it most nights, and sometimes shares with his brother or allows him space on the ottoman. I don't know quite how it happened, either, because it's the most comfortable chair in the house. ;)

Hope you're feeling better and staying warm, Lynn!

Looks like the cat has taken over that chair!!

Lynn said...

Riot Kitty -

I thought you would like that. We like the kitties, huh?

Blue bunny -

The black bunny - that Billy Blue, who knew? xo

Cookie -

They have a way of doing that.

Meredith -

Isn't it funny how they do that? I have the fireplace cranked up and the heat up. I've been cold all day. 18 degrees this morning here.

Lance -

She has. My sister sat in it one day (carefully removing the towel first.) And Sophie came around with her mouth open - all indignantly that Jo was in her chair. When Jo got up to go to the kitchen for a moment, Sophie scrambled up there and took her place immediately. :)

Obviously, that isin't YOUR chair... I'd never have heard of Billy Blue were it not for your blog! Some day I want a spare room with nothing in it! There's alot to be said for space. You're such a good helper.
Hope you're much better by now

A spare room with nothing in it. I would love that, too. My place is a little cramped and there is not even a good spot to exercise in.
