Protective, chamber of commerce day and feast

- My niece's "puppy" Hank with a protective limb over his friend and relative Moby (my sister's dog.) My sister says it was dog mania at their house last weekend. :)

- A chamber of commerce weather kind of day in Atlanta on Monday. BLUE sky, low humidity, not too hot. And wishing I could freeze that kind of late spring day.

- A wonderful meal with friend Leisa at "Feast" in Decatur. I feasted on wood oven roasted shrimp with whiskey sauce, bleu cheese & bacon risotto, poblanos and onion. There was just a pile of shells when I was done. Yum.

I can see the one telling the other you just lay right there we'll get one of our pets to come hand feed you.

Why should the chamber of commerce have all the good days?

I can see the shrimp and whiskey with bacon risotto and pobllanos and onion. But if you don't mind I'll pass on the bleu (I'm taking for blue) cheese. I think I'll go Google up some cheese.

Love how dogs will interact with each other. The yellow pup certainly admires his older cousin. So cute.

I imagine the canine conversation went just like that. :) When my niece and her husband got Hank, he seemed depressed for days - she guesses because he had to leave his litter mates. (I can certainly understand that.) But he is very happy now and I hear that he and Moby played so hard that Moby was all tuckered out. (As you can see.)

I always hear that "chamber of commerce day" reference on the TV weather.

Granny Annie -

Yes - I think there is definite hero worship going on there.

How was the Googled cheese? :)

lol - I have dog mania every day and love every minute of it! Hank is just brimming with puppiness, isn't he?

Like you, I wish I could bottle those glorious days and bring them out in January :)

I would have gained 10 lbs at that meal Lynn!

Wow, Lynn, that meal sounds delicious and absolutely decadent. The risotto sounds especially tempting to me. Mmmm....

That photo is too sweet. Puppy love usually is, in whatever form it comes.

I was amazed just a few moments ago to realize we haven't had to turn on the window unit yet today. It's still breezy and light in the office, and that sweet blue sky hasn't hazed over yet with the heat and humidity. There is joy in such days, I know. Glad you enjoyed yours. :)

Soooooooooooo cute! My cats cuddle up back to back sometimes, and they look like yin-yang kitties (dark and light.)

So I see you're getting that Chinese porn comment too?

Apparently that turned into a big dog party - my other niece had her dogs there and her boyfriend brought his, too. That sounds like happy chaos to me!

lg -

Hopefully I didn't - I was very full at the end though. We also had black eyed pea hummus. Yum.

Meredith -

The risotto was the big draw for me. And isn't it great when you can just throw open the windows and let the fresh air come in?

Riot Kitty -

Isn't that cute? I haven't met Hank in person yet, but Moby and I are great friends.

Yes! What is the deal with that? Evalinn emailed me to let me know that those comments were porn. I was afraid to open them because of potential viruses. This one said, "You are very smart!" with a link. :) Glad they think so.

OMG, that shrimp sounds fantastic!!

The photo of the pups is adorable, btw. Makes me want to hug my yellow lab right now. :)

Knock on wood, I haven't gotten those type of comments yet, but thanks for the tip.

Them dogs remind of the ones around here, full of contentment and relaxtion.

That dinner sounded fantastic. I could feel my sugar going up a few points while readin it.

It was fantastic. I love food - can you tell? :)

I can't wait to meet Hank - wish he didn't live so far away.

Those comments always have some sort of symbols as the link.

Apparently those two played very hard and the older was so tired. Hank looks very content, for sure.

Fireblossom -

I love bleu cheese, too - especially on a salad with a grilled steak beside it. Yum.

Cookie -

I've missed you, my friend. Yes - if that day could only have been bottled...

How Cute! Didn't we see a pic of Moby as a pup not too long ago here?
We had low humidity yesterday finally- the clothes will dry...
Your meal sounds very tasty- tho I'll pass on seafood due to allergies.

I posted a picture of him running with a captured iguana. He is a few years past pup stage at this point.

Isn't that sweet? Poor Moby looks bushed - there's nothing like puppy energy to wear you out.

Jannie -

Ooh - it was so good. I love to dine out - maybe a little too much. Your sandwich sounds good! xo
