Realism, honored and at work

- This image that makes me think of a Monet painting. Down by the water behind a client's office.

- Gathering co-workers prepare to celebrate a fellow co-worker's 10th anniversary with the company with cake and a plaque. She continues to work until someone makes her stop and be the honored guest.

- The train whistle at the Lawrenceville Highway crossing during the very early morning hours suggests that someone else is already at work.

Somehow that photo makes me feel like I can breathe deeply, Lynn. It's full of quiet beauty. Great capture!

I often listen to train whistles as they pass in the middle of the night. Now you've made me remember the ones who keep them running. You wouldn't think I could forget; F.'s dad was a train engineer who worked at all hours.

It does look like a Monet.

I enjoy viewing shots of current-day Giverny, nestled in among more modern things outside his property. An oasis. The plantings still as he planted them. His ponds still as he left them, all restored of course. Would love to see it someday!

That photo is so lovely - the colors, the light, the water in the background...lucky clients to have that view.

I love the mournful notes of a train. It makes me melancholy and especially so at night.

The painting seem peaceful. I bet the co-worker would have rather worked then go to the party.
A train whistle far, far away gives me the feeling of loneliness.

The train cries to me
from so far away
her whistle is so lonely
as if trying to say
Could you please find me
I’m lost and afraid
I hear her cries from afar
as if she’s been betrayed

Meredith -

Thank you - I have to deliberately exit this way when I leave my meetings with Angie. But totally worth the extra walk.

Train whistles - a lovely sound. F. and I have that in common - my grandfather was an train engineer with Southern Railroad.

Blue Bunny -

I do see some other bunnies there, but none that are blue like my favorite bunny.

Jannie -

Giverny is on my list, as well. I would love to go there.

They are lucky to have that view - my doctor's office is in the next building and I say that to them all the time.

The train whistle is mournful sounding. I love to hear it.

Ellis -

I am quite certain she didn't want that attention, but she got it anyway.

LOVE the train poem. It does sound a bit betrayed...

We are like a little family at the printing company - sometimes scrappy, but we are always there for each other.

Gorgeous picture n scenery to behold- Lucky client!
I'm a bit of a compulsive worker myself- So kind to be honored for it that way! That would never happen where I work... That must've been Casey Jones saying good Morning, or his cousin.
I always think of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" which begins with "I hear the train a commin, ..." I play it on the guitar, tho I don't sound like Cash singing-

That's a great song. I actually do love to hear Johnny Cash sing. I have one friend who listens to nothing but him (which I've always found kind of interesting.)

Beautiful setting to see through the window of a workplace. It must help keep the sanity at workplaces.

I wish I could see more of the current painters that I often see exhibiting their works to actually paint the natural world more.

Yes - I tell them that all the time, too.
