- She stayed there long enough for a blurry, flash off, zoom shot. The robins have been attempting to build a nest on my upstairs neighbor's back porch, between the curve of the gutter pipe and the porch ceiling. They never give up in spite of their efforts at building a nest with pine straw in that curved space making it fall out every time. I guess she decided to take a bit of a break and ponder that decision.
- When I get off the elevator at Georgia Public Broadcasting there are signs pointing to "Rick Steves event." I ask the guard at the desk while I am signing in what the event is. Rick Steves is giving a lecture this evening. I tell him that I am just enough of a geek to think that is exciting. :) (He chuckles.) I love those travel shows. But alas (again) he is not there yet by the time I am ready to leave and I make my way into the night with no travel show celebrity sighting...
At least I get to sight plenty of birds, huh? I hope you get to see many wonderful good things this weekend, my friends.

I love that first shot too it's kinda eery but in a good way.
Shame you missed the celeb spotting, but I think bird spotting is probably just as much fun.
I like Rick's show too. Enjoy the birds and nestings and, soon to be, baby birds. There will be much chirping in your future. :)
i love seeing your reflected shelves!
Hope the robin finds a home that sticks, i'm sure she will!
xxoo
There were robins in my backyard this morning. I know who Rick Steves is, but only by name and he's a European travel guru or something (my travel tends to be a bit more rustic)
I am betting on the bird to come back with a plan that will work.
Never heard of Rick Steves before now.
I love the double exposure shot! Definitely a great (albeit unintentional!) effect.
The Robins are no less Travel Show celebrities I guess :-)
I hope they manage to triumph with their effort at carving out a home between the curve and the porch ceiling.
I like that top shot too, Lynn. It's interesting!

Have a great weekend too!

Eerie in a good way - I like that. Bird spotting is fun. I also like that of all the back porches these birds could choose from at the condos, they also seem to build around me and my upstairs neighbors. We're two nice gals, so I guess they sense that.

Love the chirping! And I watch him all the time. I'm sad I didn't get to gaze at him in person. :)

Me, too. I hope the robin figures it out, too.

That's nice - they are migrating north to their accustomed places.
Rick Steves actually directs you to the more interesting and money saving aspects of travel in Europe. Watch it sometime - he's fun and something of a rustic guy, too.
Granny Annie -
I hope so!
The top shot is good and if you look closely you'll see her =) Have a great weekend!

Thank you - I only realized this morning that the shot turned out fun. :)

True. Have a great weekend!
I think that first shot is really neat!
a fun picture ...i had to do a double take!
That's neat. I have similarly saved "throw out" shots because there's a neat little critter in them.
I like the double-exposure reflection shot. I hate forgetting to turn off the flash! Bird pics are so tough to do for me also- But I watch them everyday after I toss bread out the window. I hope the Robin finds a better place to nest-
Sorry you didn't catch Rick Steves. I bet alot of celebs show up there, Atlanta is such a popular hot-spot- n been hot out too!
Have a good week-end!
Hi Lynn .. thanks for visiting me - I'm here finally! I like the crazy shots they give us different views - and as Jannie says I hope the Robin finds a good place soon ...
I've never heard of Rick Steves ...I'll have to keep an eye open ..

Snaggle -
I need to go to my outdoor closet right now and get the used bag of potting soil to finish up and I hate to disturb them, but hopefully they know I am a friend.
Hilary -
I am delighted to see you here - and yes, I hope the robin finds a better home.
Looking forward to A to Z. :)
