How deep is your love, tater tots and carefree

- Quote spotted at Fontaine's Oyster House at lunch on Thursday. People either seem to love the Bee Gees or not.  I love them and am saddened again by the loss of another member of the disco generation.  My favorite Bee Gees song?  How Deep is Your Love.

- Ordering tater tots as the side item with my crab cake at lunch, mainly because it's fun to say "tater tots".  :)

- Sitting at the group condo mailboxes perusing my mail and watching a young neighbor lay down her bicycle and climb a tree on the afternoon of the last day of school.  I remember that carefree feeling and love the sign that it's almost summer.

Have a wonderful carefree weekend, my friends!  I'll be away from the computer most of the weekend, but will catch up on blogs when I get back.  Cheers!

You had a tasty lunch!
I remember that released-from-school feeling. And I remember climbing trees. Summers used to stretch out so long ahead of us with all the free time we could dream of.
Enjoy your weekend!

Yum crab cakes and tater tots (Napoleon Dynamite, "you gonna eat your tots?) My favorite BeeGees song has to be "How can you mend a broken heart." rip Robin

I think that quote can be used to sum up everything about a person's richly fulfilled life.

Tater tots are such a versatile side dish because they can go with absolutely everything and they make you feel absolutely good.

Tater tots IS fun to say! especially 10 times fast.

I do like the Bee Gees, most of their songs.

"Cause we're living in a world of fools....."

have a fun sweet weekend.

Love most of the Bee Gee songs because my kids love them. Otherwise I probably wouldn't know anything about them.

Would you enjoy saying Tater Tot Casserole? I'll have to send you a recipe if you don't already have it.

I love the memory you hit us with. I lived that memory. My special tree was the first place I headed after school. Sentimental.

Have a good weekend. We're having a crowd that will gather today and end one week from today. Don't know when I'll get back.

Hilary -

Absolutely. And Robin Gibb could have been saved by a colonoscopy.

The Elephant's Child -

You, too!

Leonora -

I so did.

And I had an instant memory of climbing "The Judy Tree" in my grandparents' back yard. A tree named for their first granddaughter.

happygirl -

Love me some tater tots.

G -

I agree.

And the tots are such a fun food, aren't they?

Jannie -

Bee Gees songs are so singable, too.

xoxo

Granny Annie -

Yes! Send the Tater Tot casserole recipe! It sounds fun. :)

It was fun to sit in a tree and watch the world go by, wasn't it?

I hope you enjoy your company!

So sad that there is only one left of the original Bee Gees. They were a great group. All things must end, as it were.

Robin Gibb died? I didn't know that. I like a lot of their older, ballad-y stuff; the disco not so much.

Have a wonderful holiday!

PS--My favorite song of Bee Gee's was a lesser known one called "Black Diamonds" from their "Odessa" LP. Robin didn't sing it, I think it was Maurice on that one.

I Love the BeeGees "Stayin' Alive" the best because I always picture Robert Hays in "Airplane" goofing around to the original John Travola dance routine... It makes me laugh, plus I know some of the moves... Also "Mend this Broken Heart" gets sung alot around the house. Losing Robin Gib affects me too.

I wanna buy more Tater Tots, been so long!
I remember the tree clinbing days feelings of freedom myself. Been a long time-

Tater tots is a great phrase. The restaurant where I meet my friend for breakfast every two weeks calls them "mini potatoes". I might have to request that they correct their menu!

Such a shame that 2 of the Bee Gees are no longer with us. Visiting from my A to Z Road trip

So true.

Mama Zen -

I hope you got some tots. :)

Sandie -

Not something I'd eat every day, but that sure was fun to say!

FB -

I'll have to look that one up - I don't remember it.

Snaggle -

I'll have to check that movie out - I've never seen it. (Can you believe that?)

Joanne -

I know - so good.

Melissa -

Crab cakes - I could eat them all the time. If you are still on the east coast - now's the time for you.

Sparkling Red -

Maybe that's a Canadian thing. :)

Boysmum2 -

Thanks for coming by!
