A good dog, taking time and a good catch-up

- Somehow his dog got between him and his truck.  My beloved great nephew and his beloved dog Hank (who I also like very much.)  I told Hank's dad that I like how I am always cheerfully greeted by Hank even when I just saw him five minutes before.

- A customer of the printing company needs a favor - some un-printed "very nice" paper fast.  I hand it over - free of charge, and he takes the time to ask me about my holiday, even though he is in a blazing hurry.

- Seeing friends from my old corporate job at a funeral visitation.  A sad occasion, but I love how so many turned out to support a very nice woman at the service for her partner.  It turned into a mini-reunion, with oohs and ahs over how many grandchildren, a new baby, and those of us who are childless - what we've been doing.  A good catch-up.

Never get between a boy and his truck! (but it sure likes like Hank has been forgiven) ;-)

Haha Hank looks like a very patient and loving dog! That's a great photo Lynn.

Funerals are very odd occasions because although everyone is sad at their loss it's also often a time to catch up with friends and family you may not have seen for a long time.

Funerals remind us how alive we are! :)

I like very nice paper. I am about to send a letter to Bermuda on some fine ivory linen laid.

Lynn -- All the "threes" touched me this time. Dogs, of course, are a favorite of mine, especially ones like Hank. I love that he greets you again and again, but most of all how he handles your great nephew:~)

It's also nice when you can help out a customer and this guy seemed to appreciate it.

I liked what Jannie said about funerals:~) It is true!

Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying your walks:~)

Another heart-warming post. While I am a cat person these days (can't walk a dog) I grew up with dogs too. And learned to walk pulling myself up on our German Shepherds tail (and he would just about cross his legs so as to not pull me off my feet). Such wonderful memories.

It's amazing how patient and tolerant a dog can be when a child is using him as a stuffed animal (so to speak).

Aww the interaction between your nephew and his dog is so cute!

I truly believe your nephew is debating whether he wants to leave the dog for the truck. He is torn between the two loves. lol

FB -

Hank is not allowed in the kitchen, so often lurks in this spot - watching the action. :)

Joe -

He is. And yes - it was like that. I hadn't seen some of these old coworkers in 10 years.

Jannie -

So true. And GREAT paper!

Sara -

Thank you - that means a lot. I love dogs, too. And yes, so cheerful all the time.

I was wildly busy myself, so it was probably a good break to stand and chat for a couple of minutes.

I've been doing the indoor video of Three Mile Power Walk by Leslie Sansone most often lately - it's been raining so much. I hope for an outside walk this Sunday morning.

Elephant's Child -

We had a German Shepherd when I was a wee one, too. I love dogs and cats, too.

Yes - he was accepting of Monroe right from the first.

Thank you - I didn't know this woman well, but went to support my ex-coworker in her loss. It was wonderful so many came.

And thanks for the wonderful compliment!

Lee -

There are a zillion more of him - I normally don't post pictures of family, but this one doesn't show him full on. He's a delightful child.

Talon -

Thank you!

I agree - so cute. :)

I'm thinking the truck might just win. He loves that truck and loves to put things in it and push it around.

Thank you -

What a sweet picture!

Are you OK? Was the person a friend?

Hank appears to be one of those wonderful, patient, family dogs that the kids can do anything to and the dog will take it. Great dogs, those are!
