Three views - same spot, dog park and helping out

- The May view from the bridge at Tanyard Creek Park near my office in Atlanta.  So interesting that this photo was taken the same time of day as the March and April shots below, but the sun just seems more brilliant now.  And I love those heavenly scented privet blossoms there in the front.  I almost missed them - I have been a bit of a slacker about exercise this month, but loved my walk on Wednesday.

 - The mid-April view - I thought it had the look of a painting when I posted about it before.  There's a dog run area just around the corner from this spot.  A couple walking their big, floppy eared dog let him off the leash and he excitedly darted forward into the field, turning around expectantly, those large ears perked up.  The man threw a red ball and off he went...  Such a happy sight.

- The mid-March view.  There are always professional photographers in this park - seems as if every time I go I see one.  On this day there was a photographer leaning in to photograph a woman and her baby daughter, both wearing pastel green outfits (perfect for this lush, green park).  To help out, I gave the baby my biggest smile of the day when I passed behind them.  She gave me a slight smile and interested look, while the woman snapped away.  On my return trip, the photographer was leaping and twirling, trying to elicit another smile or laugh. This time the husband and a little boy had joined them.  The adults were both wearing strained smiles.  :)

Here's something to smile about:  it's a three-day weekend coming up!  And while I'm excited about my Memorial Day holiday, I do remember why we get the day off here in the states:  to remember and honor our fallen soldiers.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

Elephant's Child -

Thank you and I am looking forward to it. Heading to sit by the river in North Carolina to read, doze and gaze at the water flowing by. There will be no computer and my iPhone won't work when I'm there (no cellular tower nearby, I guess), so that's a good thing probably. :)

Hilary -

I am lucky - I do love to walk there. Sometimes it's just getting the energy to go after a long day...

And I just updated my post to include that it is Memorial Day on Monday. A good idea to include that.

Cheers to you!

Lynn! I just thought of something. We will be rolling past Atlanta sometime on or about July 3rd. It is my mother's 80th B-day on the 4th and we are heading up to good ol' Wisconsin for one full week!

I'll have to check with my dh to see what route we are taking...

We remember our fallen soldiers and we remember in our churches our loved ones who have died in the previous year. Plus all the cemeteries are filled with decorated graves while the boats and loud music of celebrations of life going on are heard from my front porch.

My Ron, gone almost one year, a noble Veteran of our military and my best friend.

How interesting to see the changes through your photographs. The stream becomes grown right over in a bower of vegetation.
Enjoy your long weekend!

What a pretty place! And yes, let's not forget what Memorial Day is for. Not sales and BBQs.

So much green! And we finally have leaves on the trees in Toronto, so I don't have to be jealous of you anymore. ;-)

Is there anything more happy than a dog in a park? I'm not sure there is.

I'm really enjoying the extra, brighter Sun light here too. Beautiful bridge view. Dogs can really make happy easy to find playing ball. You'd be great as a photo portrait prompter at schools I bet. Hope you.re enjoying your Memorial Day Week-end!

Looks like you did have a wonderful weekend! It was a 3 day weekend here in the UK, but Monday was simply a Bank holiday and it rained all day.
