Rescue lily, blooming like crazy and so good

- When friend Marty and I were placing Easter lilies in our church sanctuary on Saturday morning (a delightful annual pre-Easter event), I told her, "Uh oh - we have a leaner!"  So I rescued it and took it home, adding a little more dirt to it to keep it from toppling over.  It's still pretty, I think.

- Azaleas from a friend's yard.  They are blooming like crazy in north Georgia and are a little early.  Some friends who are from Augusta, Georgia say that landscapers at Augusta National Golf Course put ice on them so they'll still be blooming for guests and TV cameras for The Masters Golf Tournament, which is coming up next week!

- And a very cute bunny and some Peeps decorated cake at friend Laura's Easter dinner.  The cake was an Italian Cream Cake - it was so good.

My friend did not want to take home the lily she bought for our church altar. She offered it to me but I wanted someone to take it who would save it and not murder it like I would. Now I also would murder Italian Cream Cake! OMG! It is wonderful.

Oh how I love azaleas. They are something I don't grow well so seeing them is SUCH a treat.
And lilies are always a joy. Straight or otherwise.

Even wonky plants need love. :-) My aloe plants always grow so lopsided that eventually they topple over, but they're still beautiful.

Love the Easter lily and the cake!
"Time to ice the azaleas", that's funny, sounds like a country song! :-)

I haven't bought an Easter lilies in years, but do recall theor sweet smell could easily fill a room. Nice that this leaning one now has a nice view outdoors, Lynn. Alsomlooks like a nice little feast at your friend's for Easter.
