Doing nothing, shimmering and moving on

- I pretty much did nothing but read and sleep while I was at the house by the river last weekend.  Click to enlarge to see the yellow daisies that are blooming away across the river there.  Photo taken early Monday morning as I was planning my departure.

- The water flows gently by.  It's so beautiful, the way it shimmers.

- Can you see the two young deer munching on the grass there?  I was in the kitchen, preparing to make coffee even earlier on Monday morning.  These were both male - they had sprouting antlers.

- If you click to enlarge, you can see that the one on the left had spotted me.  They turned and ran into the woods - I was rather sorry to have interrupted the munching.

I know you are going to miss all the beautiful outdoors. Your vacation has been wonderful. I love the way one deer always stands guard and keeps watch for the rest.

What a beautiful, beautiful place. I can see why it has claimed a home in your heart.

Who would want to do anything when in the midst of that peaceful beauty? Not me! I would've just sat back, relaxed and let the ambience envelop me. Ahhhh....the serenity! :)

What a lovely quiet sighting! I followed turkeys near my house last night- maybe will have pics next week if time to work on them. At least they didn't attack me- turkeys do that sometimes. Great pics! Wish I could get away with more "nothing" but it always turns into chores to do (because I get clumsy!) Good for you-

Lovely LD weekend that you had! So happy for you, Lynn! Yes, I love spotting deer and just observing them. We have extremely 'tame' deer here. They are used to cars, bikes (even) and just plain being watched....

Sounds like a great weekend to me.
I have never seen deer in the wild! That would be exciting.
