Good Things Happened: Zen Garden and along the way

The new job has me working in an area that used to be reception (they are running out of room, I think.)  These are my new office mates in the fish tank that is to my back.  I'm calling it working in The Zen Garden.  :)

I used to love to walk at Tanyard Creek Park near my office, but stopped walking there when I hurt my knee (since mostly recovered).  So since it's been two years since my last visit, I headed over there last Saturday morning, having another errand in that area.  The Lenten Roses beside the creek are in bloom, right on time.

There was so much activity in the park.  I encountered two photo shoots during my hour walk, one was a woman doing some sort of spoken word for the camera, and the other was the woman on the right, above, who was changing poses like a fashion model.  Cute.  :)  And I realized when I downloaded the photo, that I also captured a woman comforting a boy, there on the left.  So sweet.

From Mr C's sign:  ANOTHER DAY HAS PASSED AND I DIDN'T USE ALGEBRA.  Amen to that!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

A new job?
Love that zen garden. Fish are soooo relaxing. Unless you are responsible for keeping their living quarters pristine.

Hope you like the new job. Grandson is in Algebra 2 and he hasn't used anything in Algebra 1! Pretty area.

I didn't know you had a new job, are you still working in the print business?

Love the last photo and how you captured 2 very different scenes in one photo, and that really sums up life doesn't it?

Joe - yes, see post from February 16 - I think you missed that one. Another printing company bought our client list and invited four of us to come with it. So far, so good. I miss by work space at the old place, but there's a lot of open work area in the new place, which seems to be a trend for companies these days. And I do have the fish friends right there with me. :)

Oh my, I truly LOVE that sign!

Those people posing in the park...you can't go anywhere these days in a park without being made to feel that you are intruding on a photo/movie shoot. Why, once at Arabia Mountain, I turned a corner on a path, and someone threw a smoke bomb at my foot! The folks rushed over to me saying" you are not supposed to be here, we are SHOOTING!"
How was I to know? Turns out there was supposed to be someone there to stop people but that person had gone to the Ladies'! Still, I have strong feelings about this...its not right, it is a public park and folks like that will take over.
Anyway, sorry for my rant! Hope you like your new job! I love the fish!

I am glad you have a lovely setting in your new location. Aquariums are supposed to calm nerves. Bet you are needing that with all the adjustments that come with change. That algebra sigh in my absolute favorite.

i really liked Mr. C's latest sign and agree with it completely! Your office companions look lovely and certainly are very quiet ones too. Walking in a park is always full of surprises and hopefully we will be getting out a bit more once the weather here stays warm more consistently. We have a prediction of snow starting late on Wed and continuing for overnight.

Nice Zen garden! I'd like that. Stress has been bad in this storm area lately! Good you are able to walk again. My knee has had a bad year also, but have been walking anyway. Somedays tho, are nevermind. It comes n goes. Nice early blooms n nice enough for folks to be around for projects, away from the devices!

Having that fish tank in your working area would give out good vibes, I imagine.
