Rm w/a vu, story and dedicated

- A room with a view. Sunrise from my father's hospital room in Macon, Georgia over the weekend.

- Visiting with an uncle who I haven't seen in a really long time. And hearing the story of how he met my aunt - he spotted her at a bowling alley and told his buddy, "I'm going to marry her." The buddy laughed at him, but he did marry her - three months later.

- Meeting so many dedicated hospital workers over the weekend: a recently divorced student radiology technician who decided to make a life change with a new career, a 23-year-old nurse who LOVES working the 7pm to 7am shift and is perky even in the middle of the night, a nurse who finally became an RN at age 47 and is sorry her dad didn't live to see her realize her dream, the young woman who comes in to clean proudly displaying her babies' photo on the back side of her hospital badge - she has a one-year-old and a two-year-old, the smiling medical technician who finds me wide awake at 3am and asks if I would like a snack and then brings cherry Jello and Sprite. Lovely people.

Update on dad - he has congestive heart failure and all the issues associated with that. They are doing another procedure this morning that should help and hopefully he can go home tomorrow.

"Lovely people" -- you grace that category most stunningly, my dear Lynn.

Jannie -

As do you, my friend! xo

Wasn't it gorgeous? The view was the same in his room, but I stepped outdoors for the photo.

He came through his procedure just fine and was having some breakfast a little while ago. Thank you. xo

Hope your dad gets to go home soon. I am glad you have so many people there who are nice, though.

Riot Kitty -

My hat is off to them - they deal with so much and people tugging from different directions. And they were mostly nice. Just heard he might get to go home tomorrow!

Cathy -

I seldom see sunrises like that - someone positioned that cardiac tower just right.

I thought your Dad might be having a few issues keeping you busy! Lets hope his circulation is better, n he can move around better to get back home soon-

Such beautiful colors in that sunrise! Great pic!
Last time I heard a "I'm going to marry her"
"Yeah, right!" story- it was only three weeks- Sometimes, they just know! (n persistance can pay off)
My daughter, BBM, is one of those seemingly endless happy heathcare persons- it definately helps all concerned to have positive attitude around! Beats Gloom n doom while trying to heal-

Looks like you've been sleeping at the bedside- so dedicated, hope you get to make up for the missed rest soon! Will send extra prayers for you all-

It was so great to get a glimpse of my aunt and uncle as young people. Loved that story.

Yes - we didn't want to leave dad alone, so I started out in the emergency room with him and my sister Jo came in and stayed the first three nights, I stayed the next three and sister Brenda came in for the next three. Hopefully he'll be released today. Positive healthcare workers made a huge difference. I have nothing but praise for that hospital. Thank you for the prayers and good wishes! xo

Thinking of your Dad. Sorry I didn't get here sooner.

I'll say a prayer for him if that's ok?

The sunrise is beautiful.
