Good things, stay safe and party bus

- Thank you for being such devoted friends - it means much to me that you stop by and comment. This was a favorite spot that I happened upon this year and I like to think of us as friends sitting on these benches and having a comfortable chat about good things that happened to us.

- A good suggestion from fire station #19 should anyone venture out on the eve of the new year.

- The disco party bus website shows strobe lights flashing on the inside of this bus as it travels down the party road at night. Something tells me it might be busy this night. :)

I salute the end of a decade. So long 2010 and Happy New Year, my friends!

That's a funky-looking party bus...a good place to wear a polyester outfit, some high platform shoes and boogie, oogie, oogie!

Get down tonight, Chica! Catch you in 2011! :)

So next time we read
The words
each other has writen
We'll look back
to remembering
it was a deade ago
since we had spoken
Old times fading away
in memorys
yet we're on the road
of tomorrow
never ending with things
none has seen before

Happy New Decade Lynn

I would really HATE to be on that party bus. (I hate being around sick, drunk people.)

Never never go to a party without your own transportation. My motto here.

That way~~ when things go south, you can leave.

Stretching out my legs and enjoying the view from the bench and passing you a fresh cup of roobibos, Lynn.

Wishing you a beautiful year and a fabulous new decade!

Doesn't it look like a happening bus? It is parked over by my accountant's office and I burst out laughing when I saw it. I love love love that paint job.

Yes - see you in 2011, chica!

Ellis -

Happy new decade to you, my friend. I am glad this was the year you began blogging.

lg -

Yes - I agree. A good idea to have ones own transportation. I won't be on that bus tonight - I just thought it looked fun. :)

Happy New Year, lg!

You remembered the kind of tea I like! Yes - we can have that and some of those chocolate digestive biscuits. Sounds like a plan.

And same to you, my friend!

Mama Zen -

I will and Happy New Year, to you!

I'm capturing those lovely benches in my memory to imagine sitting there when all us blog friends communicate:)

Yes, safety is the number one priority on New Years Eve and the Party Bus and other such innovations help make it safer.

Wishing you all the best in the New Year Lynn:)

I like the idea of friends sitting on the benches.

The dj in that bus must have great shock proof equipment to handle bumping up and down in the bus.

Happy New Year to you Lynn!

Well, I'd say that reading about all your good things has been one of my good things! Love that pic.
You wouldn't believe so much road traffic on my way home about 1:30am- Much of it driving poorly.
I remember Disco from High School days- Want to see Sat Night Fever again- But can't imagine wanting to dance in a moving bus!

Happy New Year!

Thank you for coming by and happy new year. :)

Riot Kitty -

I know - there is a home on the other side of that driveway and this is their view. I'd be sitting there all the time.

A lovely thought, G. Happy New Year.

Granny Annie -

Same to you. I hope you have a lovely new year.

Sage -

It boggles my mind a bit - how much happened in these ten years. Happy new year!

Joe -

Right? I know. And just imagine all the great conversations we would all have on those benches. :)

Snaggle -

Thank you for saying that, Snaggle - it has been so wonderful meeting great people like you. Happy New Year!

I'd be happy to sit on a park bench and have a chat with you. But then again, maybe all of us commenters and yourself should rent the Disco Party Bus and rock out!

funny - I just read an article today about the driver of the Kegbus. She said there was only one rule - do not vomit on the bus.

Oooo, Disco Party? I'm there! Maybe not so much on a bus, tho. :)

So glad I picked up on that pretty benches photo for your last sidebar button.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Lynn,

As always, I enjoyed the pictures. I love the benches. I can just see people sitting on them and talking.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and will have a great New Year:~)

I would love that. I think my blog friends all have such interesting lives and it would be so neat to be able to sit and chat. So I imagine that we do.

Wendy -

We have another bus in the area called the fur bus. It's covered in fur on the inside. I rode it once with my friend Steven who instructed me not to touch anything. :)

Jannie Muffin -

Happy New Year to you, too! xoxoxo

Sara -

I'm glad to hear that. And I did and hope you did, too. Happy New Year!

What a lovely spot, the angles they're turned toward each other. Almost as if one folks leave for their homes the benches discuss among themselves the conversations they were privy too.

Your blog is a wonderful tonic to say the least. Looking forward to more of it in the year ahead.

Happy New Year to you.
