- Atlanta saw its first white Christmas in 130 years. The snow started falling on Christmas afternoon. This photo is from a gallery of uncredited photos sent in to 11alive news. It was fun for me to see the residual effects of snow on the ground and a few swirling flakes as I encountered it on my return to north Georgia yesterday.
- My farm Christmas in the Florida panhandle was quietly fun. The Christmas tree had to be barricaded in the dining room because somebody kept trying to climb it. :)
- But he got a fun mouse for Christmas that could be operated by remote control. He had caught it here.

All hail the great hunter! What a cutie. :-)
I've had two trees to be knocked over. One by a guy with too much, well you understand. The other by a cat at 3 AM, who got tangled in wires, cried out (I woke) and then she jumped, pulling over the tree and I heard the sound of breaking bulbs... The cat left a strand of lights running across the living room and I think that was the last time she tried to climb the tree.
Yes Lynn~ Atlanta saw snow!!! I had to twisty tie the lights onto the bottom of my tree! I used to keep a fly swatter (for sound effect only) by the tree to ward off my black cats! The only workable solution became twisty-tying the lights and the bottom ornaments!
:)
The snow did flow
the wind did blow
and it brought
the news alive
The Christmas tree
was behind doors you see
for the cat
wanted to be up high
but he got a mouse
to run the house
with new batters
it would fly
Please don't mention the snow!
Love the photo of the cat!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Lynn.

Pete loves his little stuffed mice and is always trying to get them out from under someplace or other. This one was fun, but the remote control was useless if he held tight to it as he did in the picture.

My sister likes to string those red beads on the tree and Pete managed to break one of those, too. Yes - if he went the route your cat did, that might finally teach him. :)

That is the World of Coca Cola pictured. I missed most of the really beautiful snow, but thankfully the roads were clear as I was heading back into ATL yesterday evening.

I like that! Very good wrap-up poem. :) Hope your holiday was good.

I did. It was just over too quickly. I hope yours was great, too.
No snow for us this year! Last year, we had a blizzard.
I have just returned from being snowed in in Marietta for Christmas! It was so weird to have a white Christmas in Georgia. Due to some excess merry-making the night before, I actually woke up just in time to see the first flakes fall where we were, just before noon. ;)
I'm so glad that kitty got her mouse anyway. It's tough to be deprived of an excellent climbing tree -- whether it's in the wrong person's backyard or locked behind pretty french doors.
I hope your holiday was thoroughly enjoyable, Lynn!
Cute kitty! I remember when it snowed on Christmas Eve in California one year...that was a sight.
We had our usual brown Christmas this year, but we're in the process of getting spanked with snow today.
That cat looks guilty~~ to me!

Glad you got a rare white Christmas n got to see it. I also like the local news viewer pics at theBostonChannel. Lucky you got to stay warm while so many were buried in blizzard this holiday. Well, at least you can still see the tree thru the door! It's pretty-
Remote mouse? wow! That's the same kitty (now bigger) that got named here, eh? All you need to teach a cat "No means no" is a squirt bottle of water... which can be shown without use for effect after the first lesson. I use one for my plants anyhow...
Mama Zen -
I kind of like snow since we don't see it that often.

I'm glad you made it home safely and that there was merrymaking!
Riot Kitty -
I'll bet!

I always think of it as snowy in your neck of the woods. I imagine it is pretty with the snow falling.

He is a busy little thing. I doubt if there is any guilt. :)

They are using the bag shaking technique with Pete - yes, same kitty. And we are lucky indeed.
Wow, a white Christmas was magical. How awesome!!

I'll say! xo
