Alien faces, birds eye view and 811

- Who knew there were so many different kinds of tequila? This display of sparkling bottles at Pure Taqueria in Inman Park, Atlanta, is especially notable for the bottles of Alien Tequila on top (see alien faces to the right of the blue and white bottle, top row.) The bartender says this brand will be featured at their full moon party on February 18.

- Sitting in traffic for more than an hour on the expressway due to an accident up ahead. Hundreds of birds line up on light poles for the view. We are probably just as curious to them - so many cars moving very slowly.

- Just realizing that I have been writing this blog since February 2007. Today makes the 811th post - that's 2433 good things!

Even when I was an active alcoholic, many years ago now, and would drink almost anything, I wouldn't touch tequila. Yeeuck!

I wonder if you drink enough tequila do the alien faces start looking normal :)

G -

I didn't post on a schedule back then and my fledgling attempts at posts sounded awkward when I look back at them. I am amazed myself at the number - I just noticed that this morning.

I just thought the bottles were pretty and the alien bottle was kind of cool. But I don't really like tequila either.

Thank you - I have stuck it out. :)

lol - I'll bet it does! And thank you - I hope to keep going.

Wow, wow, wow! That's a ton of good things, Lynn. You are truly a blog champion -- and a champion in general for spreading your beautiful, positive vibes into the virtual and actual worlds. :)

I'm so glad you found me way back when and led me back to your awesome space. Here's to another four years! (And I'm not toasting with anything in those alien-faced bottles. Tequila does bad things to my head. ;)

Wow. We have the same month anniversary. Congratulations!!! I started mine on Feb. 13, 2007. It's funny to think we are considered "old timers" in the blogosphere, isn't it?

I loved the pictures of the Alien Tequila...that's clever. I also liked your concept the birds on the wire watching the cars creep by. I imagine they were laughing:~)

Wow again. 2,433 good things. That is so impressive. I hope you continue to add your good things to the Universe. We all need as many as we can get!!

Congrats on 811! That's a very literary comparison about the cars and birds. And alien tequila! LOL.

I'm not too good at tequila- but love the alien face bottles! I had an altered image like one a few posts ago, too!
Must have looked like a people zoo to the birds! Hope you had good music or audio book to endure that stalled traffic.
Wow! 2433 good things is amazing!
congrats on your blogiversary!

After just a few
I’ll see aliens too.
Traffic as slow as can be
And birds watch you and me
811 makes 2433
A lot of good things
From me to thee

Have a great night

Jannie -

And you were my first regular reader. How cool is that???

xo

Meredith -

Thank you - I'm glad we found each others blogs, too. Your kind words make me want to keep blogging!

Sara -

Wow - that is a cool coincidence. And the birds were so fun - I wanted to take a picture, but we were rolling ever so slowly and I didn't want to take the chance. But I did think they were having a discussion about what was up. :)

Riot Kitty -

The website for Alien Tequila is very spooky, too. :)

Snaggle -

I'm not good at it either - but I liked the sparkly bottles.

Thank you for being such a faithful reader of my blog - I love that you come by, even when you are weary from work.
