Bleecker Street, short nap and coordinated

- Another random photo out of my camera. This one was taken from one of those double-decker tour buses in New York City last December. I snapped the sign as the tour guide described this rather bohemian part of Greenwich Village and added the effects last night, to make it look like an old postcard.

- Arriving ten minutes early for an out-of-town meeting, allowing time for some closed eye meditation in the car.

- A medical office ordering printed materials has a green, blue and black logo. The office manager tells me they wear green scrubs two days a week, blue ones two days a week and black on Friday.

That picture looks cool.

I do NOT want my medical people in black.

Hh! on Fireblossom's last line.

"Inside a Bleeker Streek cafe, I found someone to love today." I think that was on Joni Mitchell's first album. Can't remember the actual song name. I do remember the melody.

My favorite part of London was the double-decker bus tour. One of NY, NY would be great too, I bet.

How difficult would it be to actually make your own postcards? That is definitely a neat photo.

Of course we assume the car is in park during that closed eye meditation:)

Yikes! I would hate to go into their ER on Friday. Greeted by medical professionals in black scrubs would be quite alarming.

Thank you and I suppose the black scrubs would be a bit Ninja-like. :)

Pretty cool wrap up poem!

Jannie -

I looked it up - that is Joni Mitchell's song "Tin Angel." I love that song of hers Chelsea Morning. You inspired me to think of it - I'll sing that all day now.

Thanks Jannie Muffin! xoxoxo

Grannie Annie -

I wear black a lot - so I kind of like the black scrubs. :)

I work for a printer, so it would be easy to make my own postcards. Something to think about.

I love those little pockets of time you get where all you have to do is just relax and "be"...

I like the effects on the shot, Lynn.

That shot immediately brought Simon & Garfunkel's song to my mind. :)

I used to live a few blocks away from Bleecker St., and took that way to school all the time :)

I love what you did with that picture!

Wow, that's some serious coordination in the medical uniforms! The folks in my office wear scrubs of all different colours. It's supposed to be anything goes except patterns, but some people cheat and wear patterned tops and no one has ever complained about it. The only ones I don't like are the red scrubs. I find those a little creepy.

The windows of the bus were scratched and so shooting a picture through them gave a scratched effect. That gave me the idea to add that film grain and sepia tone. It was fun to do - I love the Picassa effects.

I love little pockets of time like that, too. A nice way to put it.

I had forgotten about that song.

Riot Kitty -

That was the lovely thing about visiting New York - finally seeing for myself all the landmarks that have been featured in songs and books. This was one of them.

I'll bet that was a lovely walk.

Mama Zen -

Thank you - it was fun.

Yes - I would imagine red would be a bit alarming in a medical office. I interviewed to be the office manager of a large OB/GYN practice and I contemplated whether I could wear scrubs to the office in that role. Didn't get it - rats. :)

Very nice effect work on the Pic. I know some one named Shawn who lives on Bleecher St, so knew it was NYC. Sometimes those little eye breaks are much needed!
Never heard of a color coded Medical staff before! Very unique-

I think it's kind of fun to fiddle with effects like that.
