Calming the baby, racing trivia and night sounds

- This baby's reaction to the song "Dog Days are Over" by Florence and the Machine. He likes that song as much as I do!

- Spending 1.5 hours at the tire place allows time to read two People magazines and eavesdrop on the staff, who love car racing. A man comes in to sell radio spots and remarks (upon looking around at all the racing paraphernalia) that he interviews sports people all the time on the station. The manager fires back, "Who came in second at the Daytona 500 last weekend?" Oops - that guy didn't know. I looked it up in case it ever comes up again - Carl Edwards. There's a bit of trivia not likely to come up again. :)

- Waking during the night to the sound of a lonely siren that fades into the distance, rain falling softly and the train whistle at the intersection up the street. And the lovely realization that there are two more hours to sleep.

It's Friday!!! Yay. I hope you have a happy weekend, my friends!

I had not heard the song before and now I will never forget it. That video is too cute. What a rockin' babe.

Love it when know-it-alls are tripped up.

I awaken to the sound of Roosters crowing. To me it is a beautiful sound.

This iPhone doesn't want to ay the video this morning. I'll have to come back, as I always love the ones you post. Still smile about Single Ladies Devastation.

How nice to hear a train whistle. Last night I heard a car alarm too, at 2:00. Thought it was mine until it stopped just as I found my keys. And luckily still had 4.5 more hours to sleep, whoooohooo. Feeling refreshed today!

Hey, is it Friday? Wow, I think it is.

lol! That was adorable!

I love when you wake up and realize it's not time to get up...fabulous when you can slip back into sleep.

Have a fabulous weekend, Lynn!

Cute little kid

Bad, Bad Lynn you just reminded me I have to go get two tires.
A salesman that fibs to get business I’ve never heard of it before.
Wow it was a busy night last night.

Granny Annie -

I saw this video on facebook and thought it was so funny.

Ah - the sound of roosters crowing in the morning - I'll bet that is lovely.

Right? TGIF! I hope they have some good ones to look at!

Jannie -

There are so many crazy night sounds around there - it's a wonder I get any sleep. These from last night were all relatively peaceful though.

Me, too. And I'm glad you liked Embry.

My brother-in-law changed a tire for me at Christmas and told me I needed tires then. $518. Oh my. I do a lot of driving and need the good tires.

I still haven't seen your recent videos at BBMs last visit, due to her browser having issues. It may be awhile-
Most of our car places follow the local college Baseball teams in the summer, n sponsor them too.

ok, I'm pretty tired today- I misread that first word as "Walking" n was trying to figure out if you were dreaming or sleep walking until I saw my mistake! lol

Happy week-end!

I'm glad you liked it. :)

I do, too, unless it's 30 minutes before I have to get up. I get up really early and am eternally sleep deprived.

Snaggle -

Oh I hope I never sleep walk - that'd be bad. :)

i love your description of the sounds of the night... As for racing, I can't tell you who won the Dayton 500, except that he's the youngest ever to win it (I remember that much)

I woke up at 3:30 to get a drink and was happy there were 2 and a half hours left to sleep...until I had to wake up ;)

Rock it baby! That is fantastic. I love it when anyone gets swept away by music, and of course it's all the more adorable in a baby.

Sage -

I don't follow racing much either. :) But it's huge in the south in general.

Riot Kitty -

I know - I'm never happy when the alarm goes off either.

Sparkling Red -

I agree. :)
