Make way for ducklings, out of time and return

- I love this little film about a banker who takes care of a mama duck and her babies, as the news commentator says, just like a real life version of "Make way for Ducklings."

- Doing a double take when a man wearing a snappy straw fedora and a crisply ironed white shirt with tie, rides by on the sidewalk on a decidedly one-speed bicycle. He looks as if he stepped out of the 1950s or so.

- Having Blogger back, even if my Thursday post seems to be lost in the blogosphere still. I liked my Thursday post, so I hope it returns safely and tells of its adventures. :)

So it is Friday, lovely Friday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Aw! The duck story got me all misty-eyed. :-)

I wish I could have seen the chap on the old-style bicycle. He must have been a character.

Let's hope your Thursday post comes singing back. Weird they went MIA. Maybe Blogger was upgrading some features?

Ahhh, what a wonderful duck man!

And BB loves a fedora!

Happy weekend.

I lucked out, sort of.

My comments came back from Wednesday's post and I had to search my g-mail trash to find my original response that I'd left.

'Course, no one has seen my Friday's post except on Facebook.

bleh.

Bless that banker! Wow! I can't believe the ducklings jumped into his hands like that. Amazing!!

PS - I like the idea of a one-speed bike. :)

My Thursday post is still missing and they say they are only restoring comments at this point. What's up with that???

FB -

I know - I loved it, too. I saw a remark from a tired sounding tech that we could copy our Thursday post from google reader into our blogs or we could wait it out. I might do a repost on that one at the end of next week - I'll be out of town on Friday and away from a computer.

lg -

I know my heart was in my mouth watching those ducklings drop.

Sparkling Red -

Me, too. And I literally turned around to watch him - he was great.

Riot Kitty -

I looked this morning and was disappointed again. :)

They were trying to fix something within Blogger that would enable people to use some Widgets and it screwed up some stuff - like people's stats, etc. They had to take it down and withdraw the posts and comments from Thursday. We all had a little withdrawal. :)

Have we seen BB in a fedora??? Hint.

If I was my Thursday post, I would be in the south of France or maybe the Italian countryside. Yep - that's where it is. :)

Snaggle -

I saw a woman on a Vespa the other day in the pouring rain. She was wearing a rain slicker over business clothes and helmet. The clue that she was a woman was her high heels. So we are seeing a lot of things like that, too - I'll bet she is saving hugely on gas.

G -

Yes - I felt a huge sense of relief when I saw Blogger was back up on Friday. I had that little film saved and put together a post.

Joe -

I loved it, too. And your post title made me laugh out loud! Yes - we know who to blame now. :) Hee hee.

Sage -

Good vibes - I like that. :)

Ily -

I loved that, too. And yes, life certainly was simple when bikes just had one speed. :)

Ellis -

A great little wrap up poem - thank you for it. :)
