Blue chair, sparkling and cherry ginger explosion

- Rediscovering my blue reading chair that's in a corner of my bedroom. My two cats had sort of taken it over (one liked to crawl underneath, too), but both are beloved memories now. After a year, and after being vacuumed about 50 times, it called my name on Sunday for a couple of hours of reading and napping.

- My sister is coming to visit and it has sparked a little extra cleaning that I normally put off. I love opening the refrigerator door and seeing it sparkling and emptied out inside.

- Finishing the last cookie from a Saturday stop with friend Leisa at The Cookie Studio on Saturday. Cherry Ginger Explosion cookie - totally worthy of diet blowing. The Atlanta Journal rated this one of the top cookie places in Atlanta and says that "This Decatur shop donates a portion of its proceeds to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children." So there you go, it was my duty.

Leonora -

There was something I couldn't identify in Tupperware that had gotten shoved to the back, so I just threw the container away. I'm so happy to have that task behind me.

I gladly answered - indeed. :)

Absolutely. :)

No upholstering. No. Just rediscovery of how comfortable that chair is.

And the cookies are as good as they say. :)

Lynn,

That's one thing great about Atlanta; the food is fabulous and the variety is great as well. Where I live, we tend have steak houses or fish places with very little in between.

My cat, Aggie, has claimed many chairs. I've taken to putting blankets in them so that when we have guests, they don't stand up with hair on their butt:~)

I'm watching my sweets, but that cookie sounds so GOOD.

Great "3"...thanks:~)

I now I've just checked our fridge and it's far from sparkling. I hope your sister appreciates your cleaning efforts!

Sara -

You have a point about the restaurants down there - I do like a place in Thomasville called Jonah's (I think.)

When I got my latest sofa, I put a couple of cushions in it for the cats to lie on for that very reason. :)

Joe -

She'll never realize, hopefully. But I'll know.

MZ -

I'm thinking.

Aloha!

Looks very comfy. Is it the flamingo framed on the wall?

Lynn said...

Anil P -

Yes - that is the American Flamingo by James Audubon. There was an exhibit of his work at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC in the mid-80s and that's when I got the poster and had it framed.

Snaggle -

There was enough cat hair on the underside of the chair to make another kitty. :) Much vacuuming needed. But it was worth it while I had her - I sure miss Sophie.
