Empty flower pot, filling it up and needs a name

My sister lives in a gated community in which peacefulness abounds except for one lady who is all about the rules. One day she walked around with a clipboard and cited people for beauty infractions, including one neighbor who had an empty flower pot in her back yard. The photo below shows what happened when neighbors cheerfully pitched in to fill it up. :) And the flower pot lady wrote a poem about it. Delightful.

I am a little green pot living in a corner yard
And you would think that life for me would not be hard.
We were surprised to find out one day, when walking by
A neighbor saw me empty and she was so horrified.
She reported my condition to the powers here that be
And told them that my emptiness was horrible to see!!!

My owner told some neighbors and some friends of my sad plight.
And something almost magical happened in the night.
When she awoke one morning out the window she did see
A bright sunflower flower stake was placed inside of me.
And when she thanked her neighbors, her friends, she was surprised
When other lovely treasures appeared in my inside.

And now when people see me, they smile at me and know
That I'm a very happy pot our neighbors helped to grow.
My owner loves me so much that now she says she'll never
Move my treasures from inside (her neighbors are so clever).
She's sending you a picture to show what I've become
And wants to find a name for me, can you help her think of some?

Surely we can think of something for a name! Any suggestions? :)

The only way to respond to such "infractions" is with humor. Love it!

Thank goodness I was not sunbathing in your sister's yard on inspection day. The thought of the type of beauty infraction I'd incur makes me shudder.

My brother-in-law contributed the whirlygig thing. :) I love the humor behind all of this - I told my sis it makes me want to go put a pink flamingo in the infraction busting lady's yard. :)

We could probably all say that, my friend. :)

Wow, I don't want neighbors who record infractions like that! That was surely a 'good matured' response Lynn. Even flowerpots need some 'down time.'

oops...
'good natured' but 'good matured' might apply as well :-)

Wow, we live in a gated community in AZ and often wonder if the neglected garden offends everyone else in the community! We do have someone who is meant to look after the garden whilst we are away, but they do the minimum because they know we aren't there to check up on them!

Cute pot.

How about Phyllis? As in, "help me fill this up."

PS--I've never understood what makes rule people tick.

What a quirky story! I love happy rhyming poems. :-) Names... Hmm... How about Potricia?

Excellent response to a nosy neighbor.

A delightful little poem that was.

Great story! I want to name it Esperanza, which means hope in Spanish because that is what she symbolizes to me.

Love the pic, too!!

"The Garden of Cheer." It leeds a little sign or stick-on label...
Good thing there's no one here telling me Mischief's grass pots are too ugly!

Good matured sounds like it would be about right! But I know what you meant.

lol!

I loved that they did this while she was sleeping. :)

No - I was a passenger in a car when that happened - I don't think there was much shaking in Atlanta. My sister lives in Virginia and was in Arbys having lunch when the building started shaking.

A good one - I will pass it on. :) And I hear you - me either.

Sparkling Red -

Another good one - passing it on. :)

I think so, too.

The Garden of Cheer - I like that, passing it on.
