All in the ears - it is, chivalry and lost and found

From Google images

- A man comes in with his dog and I ask him what the dog's name is. "Yoda - because of his ears." The dog is friendly and comes up for a head scratch. He wandered up to their house one day and stayed. He looks a bit like a Corgi mix to me, but a Google search shows that any dog can look like Yoda if given the proper costume.

- A girl and a boy walking up the sidewalk next to a busy street - very young, probably in their early teens. A car whizzes by too close and the boy puts out a protective arm and switches places with her so that he is on the side next to the street.

- Returning a top that would need hand washing to a store (should have noticed that first) - it's been in the trunk of my car in a bag since May. And finding something underneath the bag that I've been looking for. Sweet.

That's cute about the boy. My father used to always walk on the outside whenever my mother was with us.

Very kewl about the teenager. Who says chivalry and truly caring for your significant other is a thing of the past?

Good Lord, Lynn, thanks for posting this picture! It was a much-needed laugh.

Yes - my dad that kind of thing, too.

I like seeing that kind of caring from one so young. Exactly.

I'm so glad it had that effect! :)

I always stand by the side of the road when walking along a street with a female. It just comes naturally to me to be protective. :)

I bought a polo shirt the other week and realised after I wore it once that it was hand wash only! I couldn't believe it nowadays, and for a guys polo shirt it seems ridiculous!

lol! I love how the dog totally doesn't seem to mind the costume at all. Charlie is shocked! ;)

I'm with you on the handwashing - it's a pain!

My husband always stands on whichever side of me he perceives to be threatened. He's always aware of what's coming ahead. I'll be daydreaming and gazing into shop windows, meanwhile he's swapping me to his other side before I notice the loud drunk or big dog up ahead. I love that he's always trying to keep me safe.

I love the catch of seeing the boy and girl. A sweet moment to see. LOVE the dog. HATE hand washing, too.

Joe -

I'm not at all surprised that you are chivalrous. And a hand wash polo? Just crazy.

Can you imagine trying to wrestle Charlie into a Yoda outfit? I can't!

I don't like to hand wash or iron.

Sparkling Red -

That's lovely that he is like that.

That was a great moment I happened to see in traffic and it made me smile.

Sweet indeed! I only ever find things I've been looking for when I'm looking for something else, or cleaning.

A sign from God to clean more??!!

Glad you got the top returned.

And that is one cute little yoda.

Hey, you know Weird Al's parody of "Lola" using "Yoda?" That Weird Al! His eBay song is soooo funny, was Kelly's fave for a long time.

lol! How cute- I wonder if Yoda the Corgi is very wise...
Strange to find protective young folks these days. I love finding missing things while cleaning- happens alot in this crowded little apartment.

Jannie -

I'm not sure anyone noticed my attempt at Yoda speak in the title. :) No - I missed that from Wierd Al.

It's lovely to find things that are missing. In my case it was a folder with a document in it that I had been searching for.

My place is kind of crowded, too - I'm always putting stuff somewhere where I won't lose it and then I don't remember where that was. :)

So was the dog really in a Yoda costume?

Finding something long lost is one of my favorite things.

Granny Annie -

No - but he looked very Yoda-like. Wise and a bit cheeky. :)
