Bear Pole Dance, sharing and follow the scent

- This is an awesome video of a bear "pole dancing." It's only 33 seconds. Sometimes you need something silly like a dancing bear to get your morning off to a good start. :)

- One coworker brings in a bucket of okra from his garden, and another brings in Krispy Kreme donuts. They look funny next to each other and the donuts get lots more attention.

- Going to a meeting at 7pm, having already missed dinner, and being welcomed by the scent of cinnamon coffee cake, still warm from Janet's oven. Lovely.

Thanks for a smile first thing this morning. And, yeah, I'd go for the donuts over okra. :)

Such a great video. Expected the bear to break dance any minute. Thanks for sharing.

One day two co-workers brought snacks to our employee lunch room. One of the gals was a health food nut using wheat germ, etc for her cookies. The other brought toll house chocolate chip cookies. You guess which went first. Actually which went at all. Needless to say a large pile of healthy cookies remained at the end of the day. I would have had to have the okra along with the donuts because I love okra too.

Yesterday I would have been off to bake a coffee cake but since I'm back on my fitness program, I'll have to pass.

Me, too. :)

Betty -

I thought so, too, and thanks for coming back!

Granny Annie -

I know - I thought that, too.

That is hilarious about the healthy cookies being left behind. I made bacon wrapped shrimp on the grill once as an appetizer that was such a hit that my two fitness freak guy friends wanted to make it when I was coming over. This is what I said, "You need actual bacon for that, not turkey bacon and actual melted butter, not fake butter spread." When they went to buy the ingredients, they had a discussion about whether to follow my instructions. One said to the other, "Lynn said no turkey bacon!" The other relented and got pork bacon, but insisted on getting that fake butter. Needless to say - it didn't come out quite the same. :)

Joe -

I'm glad I could give you a chuckle.

I wasn't surprised at all. :) I'm not much of an okra fan, but someone took it home and cooked it, I think.

Yummm...I love cinnamon in my café!

Btw, I just shared that video with my husband and the subject line in my e-mail read: "How about a little pole dancing on your anniversary?" Ha! He'll be a little disappointed, I think, but he'll love it!

"Going to a meeting at 7pm, having already missed dinner, and being welcomed by the scent of cinnamon coffee cake, still warm from Janet's oven;" Lynn~~you would need (something) akin to that (for a 7:00 P.M. meeting!)
:-)
They should have had a sign up along with it~~ "You Deserve a Break Today."
Lynn, I'm listening to Adele as I write this; she is a new LOVE in music taste for me. Do you listen to her? She will be singing in Asheville on Oct. 11th. Boy oh boy; would I heart seeing her!
:-) OH. She is also (still) coming to Atlanta!

Awesome Lynn--Thanks for following! Man--if it weren't for stressors at work, life would be so much easier!!!!!!!!! And I think the Whole Nation is stressed beyond compare right now with 9/11, and the Banks, White House, Wall Street, etc.

Sometimes just willing yourself to be happy doesn't cut it--but I think it helps to have a positive attitude--and Your BLOG sure is a breath of fresh air!!!

Gracias my new Friend!

OMG, that bear made me laugh! For a moment in mid-dance I coulda sworn it was just a guy in a suit. But nope, I could tell he really WAS a bear. Want to email that link to my hubby.

Say it ain't true!? That poor neglected okra?? :) What is this world coming to?!

Those meetings at church always start at 7 or 7:30. I had volunteer work before that, so I was starving.

Yes - I love Adele. I'd love to see her - this isn't a good time to be shelling out extra $$$ - so I'll have to see her another time. :)

John -

Thank you for your wonderful comments! I do like to keep things positive - there's so much unhappiness in the world, it's what we can do.

Jannie -

I know, and now I am blogging about okra. :) I must be running out of things - it's been that kind of week. :)

He does kind of look like a man in a suit, but it's a bear. I imagine someone going through that tape of the bear at some scientific post and thinking, he looks like he's gettin' down!

RK -

Hang in there - your event is almost here!

I don't much care for okra - it's a little slimey, I think. :)
