Glimpse, scent of apples and inner peace

- An brief trip home at 10 a.m. on Friday garners a glimpse of the leaf change in the driveway*. A beautiful time of day.

- The scent of apples from the bowl in the kitchen when I walk in the front door.

- Happening upon a friend who doesn't see me approach and loving that she is doing a little swaying dance with a smile. And the best part: she's not at all embarrassed, just hearing a beautiful song in her head and moving along with it.

*...of the condominium complex where I hang my hat.

I love that quote, "Dance like nobody's watching." Assuming you don't dance like Elaine from Seinfeld, it's not embarrassing. ;)

The scent of apples is nice, and I'm looking for a pumpkin scented candle before the season's over, but haven't been able to find one this year.

Beautiful photo, btw. Now THAT's what I call autumn! (In Miami, we have less greener grass and a nice breeze.) LOL

Is there an eight column, three story house with a cupola at the end of that beautiful drive? I am pretty sure the has to be.

The autumn smells are delightful mixed with apple trees and fire places burning.

No one must ever come upon me dancing alone. It is not a pretty sight but there are some songs that move me and I have to risk it.

That quote would go very nicely with that third thing. :)

I love scented candles - I have one that smells like chocolate for the kitchen, plus another one that smells like cucumbers (used in the summer.)

Autumn is my favorite time of year.

No - I live in a condominium complex. My building is to the left of the view you see here; the end of the driveway has buildings five and six. :)

I can't say that I have much talent in the way of footwork either, but I say move when the spirit moves you.

Somebody dancing for themselves like that is a neat thing.

I think so, too!

I don't think I would ever be a good dancer, but I admire those who do it!

I am feeling peaceful today. Hope you have a lovely day, lg.

Lynn, Do you like scalloped potatoes? While I was writing the comment on your blog I was eating my breakfast; a small (!) portion of left over scalloped potatoes (with 3 cheese, one being sour cream) and a spot of squash casserole (made of small squash leftover in our garden.)
I am blessed as my husband loves to cook (I cooked for the first 18 years of our marriage and now he is mainly.) The scalloped potatoes he made last night were killer. I mean it feels like the cheese and the butter could go straight on to your hips as you eat but, boy...are they good. Wish I could have you over for dinner, Lynn!

I love the idea of not being embarrassed if someone saw me dancing (read convulsing) to music. LOVE the colors of fall.

Nice driveway, Girl!! Any condos available for a funstering fam to move into?? :)

I just set your pic as the background here on Jim's computer. He loves it when I share nice pix with him that way.

The apples smell one was like a mini-movie from the heart and hearth.

blow-dryin' my hair at the moment.

Will you dance after you read this line?? :) :)

Jeff -

Thank you - love leaf season.

Oh my yes - I do love scalloped potatoes and those sound YUMMY! It would be fun to have a husband who cooks. Actually - I'm putting that down as a requirement for my second husband-to-be. :)

I would love to come over for dinner! Too bad you are so far away...

happygirl -

I'm not so dancingly talented either, so I need to work on that, too. :)

Jannie -

Yes - we have a few rentals available - come on up. There has been a severe lack of bra flinging in the condos and you are just the gal to fix that.

I'm dancing now! xo

I just found a picture that my dad snapped when I wasn't looking, when my little brother was maybe 3 years old and we were both dancing. I am going to frame it :)

Your trees look much prettier than our trees! I so wanted to buy a whole bag of apples this fall- but settled on 2, they're so expensive-
I only buy off the discount rack. Being happy to want to dance is great-
