- This chair place near my office is appropriately named "Chairish" and I had time to study the merchandise out front while waiting for the light to change. I decide that all those myriad chairs around that table at the right would look good. I like when things are not perfectly matched. - Driving 25 miles to make it to my women's circle group (only five minutes late) and finding they have left my usual seat open. It's lovely to slip into a familiar spot amid loving friends.

I get what you mean about the chairs on the right...I'm sure they all have a story to tell!
Btw, I don't remember the last time a stranger left an elevator smelling GOOD. It's usually the opposite, no? ;) Lucky you, chica!

Makes you wonder which came first, the store or the name of the store. If I didn't own a chair store, coming up with the name "Chairish" would cause me to open one.

We laugh at ourselves - we meet in the parlor of my church and for some reason, we all always choose the same spot. It was lovely to walk in and see my spot waiting for me. (But if a visitor was in our spot, we wouldn't say anything.) :)

I did call them about a small repair to one of my dining room chairs and his price was very high. My friend Leisa came over and we fixed it together (she mostly did it.)

I'm not sure I would let anyone touch my hair if they put the word angry in the title of their shop. :) Kind of like how I learned the hard way to run when a hairdresser calls herself an "artist."

I agree, when I arrive at church (normally late) someone has always saved my usual seat for me. It's a nice feeling.

My chairs don't match either, except for Aunt Besses kitchen chairs, one is out in the backroom. Wonder how that business makes a profit these days?

No - a serious looking employee probably just coming in to work (hence the fresh laundry smell.) That is Georgia Public Broadcasting where the elevator was and they a have people coming and going all hours.

I agree with you about the tables and chairs. They'd look like people. You could even name them. The white padded chair I would call Marjorie. The stiffed backed chair nearby would be Edward. The two hanging -- Billy and Bobby. Don't ask me why. I do love your pictures:~)

lol! I love the thought of the chairs having names. I actually have my grandparents' beautiful dining room furniture (she'd probably be appalled that I am sitting at it typing on a laptop) and the chairs are perfectly matched. So maybe they should have similar names, like Buffy, Muffy, etc. :)
