Sparkling in the morning light, treat and yum

- Reading on the back porch on Saturday morning. A web spun by a missing spider sparkles in the morning light.

- Having a cream cheese filled pumpkin muffin to go with my latte. A delicious fall treat.

- While friends have a deep theological discussion, I try some of Alice's chocolate fondue, dipping squares of pound cake, strawberries and pretzels in the creamy dark chocolate. An involuntary moan escapes me, they look up, smile and decide to have some, too.

Pound cake, chocolate, strawberries... I'd be all Harry met Sally on that. :)
I can never get over how FAST those spiders spin their webs. They are fascinating.

I'll take fondue over deep discussions any day!

You always know your the first on the trail when you end up wearing spider webs!

Chocolate fondue, what any theological discussion needs!

"An involuntary moan escapes me" cracked me up. Good it was about the food and nothing else. ;)

The only thing that would concern me about the empty spider web, is where is the spider?

Ooooh. That pumpkin & cream cheese deal sounds gooooood.

Yeah - it was might fine.

I wonder if this is the same spider who finally gave up spinning a web across my front door?

FB -

Same here!

Sage -

I'll say! :)

Joe -

It was so good! If I was Alice I'd be having some of that today. :)

It was probably lying in wait - waiting to get on me.

Starbucks. You can get that muffin at Starbucks.

Alices Chocolate Fondue is an inspiring song title I think.

Pretty web remains. I guess the spider got a good meal and was off dancing for the day.

I've been running around with my walking stick breaking up all the spider webs. I'm just so tired of having them stick to my face when I go out to feed the animals.

How do you fill a pumpkin muffin with cream cheeae? Ia it baked inside the muffin or added later?

Careful about involuntary moans. They could lead to misunderstandings.

I prefer strawberries and poundcake to theological discussions...call me shallow!

Jannie -

I hope to see "Alice's Chocolate Fondue" as a Jannie Funster song sometime. :)

And that spider probably went out carousing for sure - I do like to think of the spiders dancing in the dark.

xo

Granny Annie -

I'm thinking they dig out a hole in the top of the muffin and pipe in the cream cheese. It was yummy.

Riot Kitty -

I was with my three reverend friends. :)

I love your last paragraph. Makes me want to order that fondue for two I posted on FB a couple of weeks ago.

That muffin you described sounds heavenly. The pumpkin patch will open on Friday and I'll be feasting on their chocolate kiss pumpkin muffins (my favorite) when it does. Never tried it with the cream cheese center.

Cool pic, Chica!

PS - I can't get into the Words With Friends on FB. :/

That seems to be the universal thought. :)

Thank you - I looked over and spotted the web when the sun hit it. I just experiment with photography, but enjoy it when something nice comes out of it like this.

Cloudia -

Ya think? :)

You can get that muffin at Starbucks - I'll bet they have it everywhere. I get it every fall.

And no worries about Words with Friends. I'm keeping busy with that with a couple of people.

This time of year we tend to get the stronger, larger webs here. Sometimes a huuricane flies in larger, southern spiders I've noticed.
My cam won't macro focus like that- Good pic of it!
Pumpkin muffins at work are really fattening too- mmm cream cheese, should try that.
Now I want some dippy chocolate!

Most muffins are fattening. Sigh. Sometimes I care and sometimes I don't. :)
