- Waiting for an appointment with a room full of other people. A woman gets up from her chair to move to another section of the waiting room and a piece of paper flutters to the floor behind her. A young lady chases after her with it, only to be told that the paper was probably trash and didn't belong to the woman after all. When she comes back, we all tell the young lady how nice that was of her to do that.
- Finally getting my two "go to" calendars in place for the new year. Flat one on the desk to write in and one that displays three months at a time on the wall. It feels so clean and fresh. A lovely feeling.

I love the waiting room story. I love encouraging kindness. The heads are interesting. Kinda weird, but they are well done. I wouldn't want them in my living room. Happy New Year. again.
They used to be in the front hallway - maybe they were freaking people out so they moved them. I mainly admire their lifelike appearance.

For a moment I thought they were real. Freaky, they sure are. Loved the story about the nice lady. Happy New Year...lovely feeling to be back after a long time. Missed quite a bit, gotta catch up.

Big smiles of recognition. At the pool I go to, the water aerobics class is full of women just like these with their make-up and the jewellery on as they hop and bop in the pool. Soon I may join them.

I noticed that when I went to the gym in the morning there were ladies there with colorful track suits, hair done and matching jewelry. I always admired that - such is the same at your pool, too. (Me - I always went in looking a bit bedraggled if it was the morning.)

I remember the swimming gals sculpture from before. Must be funny bumping into that in odd places. still womder about the water- if it's plastic? n how'd the colors get into it...
I always try to help folks dropping things too- it's definately the nice thing to do. I'm not that picky about calenders, as long as there's one in the kitchen by the wall phone. I recieved 3 this year, New England Landscapes free from storage, a psalms with sunset pics, n a Pampered Chef one that makes my mouth water to look at... I didn't even turn the December page to January until about the 6th because I was so sick that week.

I did not like the 2012 wall calendar we had for this year and was thrilled to find a lovely one marked down from $12.99 to $4.97 and have decided I might buy all my new year calendars at the end of January.
Wow. Those ladies would be a shock. They look so REAL. I bet a lot of spooked by coming across them in the hallway:~)
I know what you mean about the calendars. I only monthly ones, but it imperative that I put them up to remind me of the new year. I like picking them out, if I haven't made my own.
The waiting room story is nice. It's good to encourage someone to be kind, even if the kindness isn't respected. Thank you and the others for supporting the young girl. I imagine she'll remember what you all said, rather than the woman:~)

I always plan to buy Christmas items on sale and never do. So good idea on cheaper calendars. I didn't get one from my state senator this year - I guess he's cutting back. :) Or maybe I didn't call in to complain about anything. :)

I've just started using the calendar on my iPhone to schedule out personal events. Pretty handy.
