Y is for Yoo-Hoo, Yellow Hibiscus and Yellow M&M

- After all these years, finally trying the chocolaty drink Yoo-hoo - a co-worker brought them in as a leftover treat from a party at her house. Too many calories, but so good.

- At the plant center at Ace Hardware, this beautiful yellow hibiscus.  I couldn't decide which photograph I liked best, so here's another.

- And now they've thought of everything - scented M&Ms candles.  The yellow M&M looks a tad dismayed - maybe because he's atop a candle.

Day 25 of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge featuring the letter "Y".  We take Sundays off during the challenge, so I'll see you all on Monday, where we will wind this thing up!

I use t buy a friend's family Yoo-Hoos every year for Xmas- miss those folks now Living in New Hampshire- Tasty but full of High Fructose Corn Syrup which I try to not eat anymore. Not as much fat as a milkdshake tho!

What a cool flower- n I think you need both pics to show the shape-

M&Ms melt in your mouth n over the candle too! Candles- what a silly idea!

I love Yoo-hoo! I used to love Chocolate Soldier too but you can't find that anymore.

Did you take home a Yellow Hibiscus plant or just photograph it?

I am more dismayed than the yellow M&M. It amazes me how many products we buy that are simply advertising for some company. How did they get us to start paying to advertise for them? Smart folks I guess.

Riot Kitty -

Thank you. I have today and Sunday to think of Z things. :)

Yes - I thought that yellow Hibiscus was gorgeous.

Dawn -

Thank you - I like to use that macro setting on my camera for that.

Joe -

That might be a southern thing, I don't know.

You have a great weekend, too!

Snaggle -

True - not as much fat as a milkshake.

I know - the candles were necessarily a good thing - just a silly thing. :)

Granny Annie -

I had forgotten about Chocolate Soldiers! We used to get them at church camp.

I was feeling a bit desperate for Y things and was delighted to find that Yellow flower. The visit to the plant nursery was to buy a few geraniums.

That's kind of what I meant by "now they've thought of everything." I mean - I can see products like M&M dispensers, that kind of thing, but that was a stretch, putting one on top of a lemon scented candle. But I needed a third Y thing and that just had to be it. :)

I've heard of Yoo-hoo but have never tried it.

Love the yellow M&M. I have a friend who collects them. He would love that candle!

Have a nice weekend!

M & M's take over the world. :)

hibiscus are so lovely. Actually Blue Bunny's favorite flower. He's out at the hardward now, actually. getting a fitting for the outdoor faucet.

Not sure if I've ever had a YooHoo tho seen them around for years. I remember Bette Middler served them to her interviewing guest in some movie or another. "Down & Out In Beverly Hills" maybe, but don't quote me on that.

hardware, not hardward.

And I should add Better Middler's character in the movie.

How creative of you to think of things associated with "Y." The hibiscus are pretty and yellow is my favorite color :)

I would love to come back to your site and read new entries in your lovely blog. Would you care to link exchange? Take care, Farida :)

Betty -

I suspect Yoo-Hoo is a southern thing. :)

Hugs to you!

Dana -

I included those candles because they made me laugh because of their silliness. :) And also because one of them would be a good Y thing.

Karen -

We all did things like that earlier in life, I think.

The Elephant's Child -

Thank you - I liked them, too.

Jannie -

No need to correct - I knew what you meant. :) And I like the idea of Blue Bunny at the hardware.

xo

Farida -

I love sunflowers, too. Thanks for stopping by!
