Happy Earth Day!, Na-Nu Na-Nu and true greatness

- While my walking buddy took a (brief) phone call, I turned around and snapped this photo of where we had just been.  So lovely and green on a fresh air Sunday morning, the day before Earth Day.

- Getting to be an extra for the church scenes for the movie that has been filming in our area and this day, at my church (Details here.)  It was a long Friday night, but worth it to see Robin Williams sitting in the pew across the aisle.  And at one point on a break between scenes, showing a child actor how to do the Mork hand signal.  :)

- A church member from my parents' generation, (the greatest, I think), has passed away suddenly.  An always beautifully dressed and coiffed woman, who had a sweet smile.  I walked out of church at the end of services yesterday with two of her friends and remarked that I hadn't known her really.  "Oh - a wonderful lady!"  "She was in our circle and was the Sunshine chairman."  "She truly lived up to that name - Sunshine.  She faithfully sent cards out to everyone all the time."  How wonderful to be thought of like that.

#2- Very cool!!
#3- I think the way people remember the lady you've described would be the greatest honor. To be remembered for being loving and kind. The word "sunshine" makes it even brighter : )

What a lovely way to take advantage of a phone call distraction.

And extra in the movie!!! Sitting next to Robin Williams!!! Wow!!! I just finished watching my favorite movie THE FISHER KING starring Robin Williams and I love it. Can't wait to look for you in the movie.

Our church of 8000 members has a sunshine lady and we are on the home bound ministry list. We receive a card from her monthly without fail. I have never seen her but know she too must be a wonderful lady. Wonder if churches ever have sunshine men?

So you are famous? Wow, I can't wait to see the movie now. ;) I really like Robin Williams, even when he's completely over the top. :)

Leonora -

Tears sprang to my eyes when she described her like that - you are exactly right, there would be no greater honor.

Granny Annie -

Thank you. And it was fun - I can't wait to see it, too. :)

8000 members! Wow - my church has 400 members and only about 100 who come to church. :) That's an awesome ministry.

FB -

Just an unpaid extra. :)

Joe -

Not at all! He was great fun to be around and seems to be a genuinely nice man.

Lynn, that is so cool! And what a cool story. We saw him in SF and another time, when Blake went with Nik a couple of years ago, they were in the front row and he leaned over and said, "Look! There's a little boy in the audience! I can't do my rudest jokes." But then of course he did anyway :)

Hope your Earth Day was happier than mine, Lynn :) (But I do have the new computer up and running now so things are calming down again!)

I love the green vista you gave to us. Truly beautiful.
Movie stardom awaits...
And what a wonderful tribute to the Sunshine chairman. Something to aspire to...

What a pretty place to walk! Earth Day has always been one of my Faves.
I used to like watching Mork n Mindy- it was so silly! Lucky you- wonder how long it'll take the film to come out. Yes, that's a very good way to be remembered! I'd win no card award this year...

Riot Kitty -

That's funny. :) He is awesome.

Talon -

It was just fine, but not as fine as getting a new computer!

The Elephant's Child -

Yes - lovely to be thought of that way. I'm going to her funeral visitation this evening.

Snaggle -

You have contributed to Earth Day by getting some seeds planted.

Sandie -

Same to you!

That is so cool about seeing Robin Williams across the aisle and the how he taught the young actor the "Mork" hand.

The pictures makes me want to join you on your walk. I took one today in my neighborhood. It was misting and everything looked so green. Oh, I loved it.

Regarding the woman who died. I have to admit it must have been cool to be the Sunshine chairman:~) And for people to really believed you deserved that honor.
