- When my sisters and I spent a day in Elbert County, Georgia, a few Fridays ago, I spotted this angel marking someone's grave at the second family cemetery we visited. The angel spoke to me for some reason and I think someone's loved one must have shelled out a pretty penny to have it erected there.
- My sisters and I are also facebook friends and we all recently took one of those lighthearted facebook quizzes "What Downton Abbey character would you be?" My sisters (who sort of operate as a unit at times) both got Mr. Bates. I got Mr. Carson. :) He's a good sort, and kind of a rules follower, like me. So I was looking for the quiz outside of facebook to share with you and found one, but it's different that the one I took before. This time I got Mrs. Patmore. :)
- A dinner with one of my niece's friends, who also lives in the Atlanta area. It felt a little like being with family, having dinner and chatting about life. And there were crab cakes atop a salad that also had walnuts and Gorgonzola cheese.. Yum.

Well I am not a member of the Aristocracy either. I am Mrs. Hughes. It certainly fits. lol I will send this to my sister who also is a fan. She wants to have a Downton Abbey Party and everyone comes in character. I think it would be a hoot.
Now, tell us what the angel said.
Granny Annie -
Those things are fun to do. :) I like Mr. Carson and Mrs. Patmore - both good sorts.
The angel just glowed with serenity and therefore made me feel serene, too. :)
Okay, I got Lady Mary and here's what they said:
"You’re quite lovely once people get to actually know you. But that hardly ever happens, since most people are insufferable idiots."
I don't really think that about "insufferable idiots," but I have to admit, Lady Mary is one of my favorite characters. I like her, mainly because she always surprises me...like the pig episode:~) Just when you think she's the insufferable one, she does something special or nice. She's also not afraid to take on challenges...So, writeup or not, I am pleased to be like Lady Mary:~)
I also liked the angel and what you said about it:~)

Old cemeteries are often beautiful. And sometimes heart-breaking places.
I think I must be one of the last people in the world who has never seen Downton Abbey - but would definitely belong down stairs.
That is a BEAUTIFUL Angel....We all need Angels by our side to help us through...! I happen to love some cemeteries....And Especially where there are angels.
I couldn't figure out how to do this DOWNTON ABBEY thing....I chose a Color and then I had to keep choosing different things---But...Nothing Happened. I feel really stupid....! What did I do wrong???
It is wonderful that you and your sisters are close and live close enough to see each other...
Is that angel as huge as it appears? That would be a little spooky at night.
I have only seen one partial Downton Abbey episode, so I can't tell if this is good?
That's a beautiful angel.
I got Mr. Bates!
I also appreciate beautiful headstones and monuments in cemeteries. I would agree; this person must have been very loved.

I can see you making a great Bates. Thank you for my poem, my friend. Good to see you!
Elephant's Child -
It is a great show, I think. I do love it and hope you will start watching it at some point. Yes - downstairs all the way for me.

You just keep answering the questions and then your answer is revealed. Sorry you are having trouble with that - wish I could come visit and help. So far away.
Like my sisters - far away. I see one of them maybe twice a year, the other a bit more than that. It was so lovely to be with them.
Riot Kitty -
It is very large. I was so taken by it. I love cemeteries.
FB -
I think so, too.
Mama Zen -
You are in good company, I think. :)
Leonora -
I love old cemeteries, too.
I got Mrs. Hughes!
I've never watched Downtown Abby and know nothing about it or the people in it, so unfortunately the quiz is lost on me!
I love the Angel. I'm a fan of Angels. :)

Mrs. Hughes is awesome!
