The last lily, the cookies are here and fingers and cookie

- The last of the lilies from this arrangement.  I thought it looked pretty there on the bathroom counter.  The vase is Waterford (which I just realized due to a sticker on the side) and I had never used it before, but it seemed about the right size for those lilies, and this one, that was cut down.  A former colleague from my late corporate job gave the vase to me about 15 years ago as a thank you gift.  He has left the corporate world, too, and works at a college in Florida (we keep up with each other on facebook.)  I think we are both way happier now.  I hope I thanked him enough for the vase.  :)

- When two young sisters visiting the printing company presented me with hopeful faces that I would buy Girl Scout cookies from them, how could I resist?  I ordered two boxes of Thin Mints from each sister.  Three of the boxes are pictured above, along with lovely thank you notes, and are now in my freezer.  What happened to the fourth?  See below.

- Thin Mints come in two tubes.  One tube went to the back with the pressmen and the other WENT IN MY BELLY!  Yes - I stress ate a whole tube - it's been that kind of week.  :)  I named this photo "fingers and cookie".  :)

I hope delightful things are in store for you this weekend, my friends.  I hope it is great!

It is a toss up. Which is more lovely? The vase or the cookies?

Love the lily (and the vase). And the good thing about stress eating is that food you eat that way has NO calories. Or so I have been told.
I hope your weekend is much, much better. Hugs.

I had to deliberately walk into the store in the entrance NOT near the Girl Scouts hawking their wares this evening. Nom~! Eat some for me.

I can't believe you still have a lily from the 12th post! Even outside here they don't seem to last very long- It looks happy in that classy crystal.
I was a Girl Scout of America for 10 years, n ate many tubes of mints instantly over the years- so I can relate to that! I haven't had any in years now, but I'm betting there aren't as many per tube as the old days. I used to eat entire boxes of the Samoas too- Ah the good old days when I could.. Now ii would take forever waiting for each bite to melt.
Just schedule a good "Burn Cookie Calories Walk" this week-
Have a pleasant, stress-free week-end!

There are worse things you can do than indulge in a tube of GS cookies...a favorite of mine. Enjoy!!

Love the vase and flowers.

I smiled when reading this because it reminded me of the "Everybody Loves Raymond" episode when he got on the wrong side of the cookie seller!

A lovely vase, and I'm sure you did thank the giver very much. :)

Kind of stopped buying Girl Scout cookies when they stopped making sugar free.

However, from time to time, when I do seen a troop set up outside a store, etc., I will purchase a donation for a soldier overseas.

What would we do without cookies? I don't know. Although my true Valium is chocolate ice cream. I hope that your coming week is less stressful.

It's easy to eat a whole tube of thin mints. They are seriously addictive!

Granny Annie -

I went back and edited my post to explain a little more about the vase. I had not realized that vase was Waterford until now and wondered if I had been properly grateful. :) I tend to put flowers in Mason jars, etc.

Elephant's Child -

I'm going with NO calories - you are a wise woman.

My weekend was awesome!

Riot Kitty -

I know - they seem to be everywhere.

Joanne -

Yes - I am avoiding the other six sleeves, currently in my freezer.

Snaggle -

It took a long time for them to open up. This one was the last one that opened.

I used to be a Girl Scout, too, so have a soft spot.

There was a little walking. :)

I agree. :)

I love that show, too, but don't remember that episode - I'll have to look it up.

G -

That's lovely that you do that.

Sparkling Red -

Yum on the chocolate ice cream.

FB -

I'll say.

I would definitely have eaten a whole tube too, but probably in a day, not a week! :D

Hi Lynn .. a Lalique vase - how wonderful. The lily looks good in it too.

Now those mints look cool! What a great idea to put them in the freezer ... and thus you must might be able to eat one tube at a time ..

Looks delicious .. cheers Hilary
