Good things happened, side by side and laughing all the way

- "This is what we will do.  We will go and put good things into the world...and the trees and the flowers and the sky will be so happy."  Spotted by my sister in a shop in Pensacola, Florida - she loved it and I wish I could afford to buy it for her.  ($$$)  She doesn't know I have a blog, let alone about the "good things" reference, so of course I loved that part the most.

- Spotting about 25 birds sitting side by side on a power line this morning observing rush hour traffic on I-85 southbound.  I wonder what they were thinking?  I think they were thinking they are happy they can fly.

- A man and woman sitting in the front of moving van, stopped at the red light on the other side of the intersection this morning at 7:30am.  They were smiling and laughing.  Probably a long moving day for them, so they were off to a happy start.  :)

And I'm happy - it's Friday!!!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

Birds flying as one is always a happy feeling. Lovely.

What a wonderful happy post - thank you, and a wonderful weekend to you.
We often see a zillion (slight exaggeration) birds packed onto one power pole. The pole next to it has a solitary bird - which we refer to as the 'bad breath bird'.

Beautiful bird piece along with the message. My kids and I are always wondering about the birds and why they do what they do, especially while driving and seeing them flock together one way then another, like a dance, above us on the highway on our way to hockey lessons.

Those damn dollars! I hate that they're so scarce! Well, they are in this household! I keep trying to win Lotto....trying being the operative word. I'll keep trying, too...I'm not ready to give up yet! :)

No traffic jams up there in the bird paths, I bet!

Have a great weekend, Lynn...take care. :)

Hi Lynn - lovely thought for your sister .. sadly sometimes heh $$$ get in the way.

Birds flying away .. or flying around free to roam - actually I bet they work exceedingly hard to live ... I think I'll stick being a human!

Cheers Hilary

Put good things into the world. That is an absolutely wonderful philosophy. It has my vote.

I guess birds do help us feel happy, n so do you with this Good Thing find!
I've seen Comerants here doing the same wire act. In August alot of the migratory birds flock before moving south for the winter. Usually the starlings begin first.
Good those folks are happy about their move.
Hope your week-end went well

You are just like the little birdies. Wish I could buy you the plaque. You do a great job of putting "good things" into the world.

Like Elephant's Child, I was struck by the tone of this post. It sounded like you were ready to have some fun on your weekend. I hope that happened.

The picture of the birds and the quote was great.

I like to see the birds sitting on the power lines. It's amazing how many can congregate.

One time I saw this hawk land on a power line and right after it a Mockingbird landed. Obviously, they had been in a bird battle, but were both so exhausted they had to stop.

They sat next to each other for quite awhile. I wished for my camera. I would entitled the picture "Temporary Peace!"
