Castles in the sand, settling in and gnarly

- You'd have to click to enlarge to see the sandcastle someone built on the sand either early in the morning or the day before.  Photo taken last week on a misty, foggy morning on Seagrove beach.

- About 30 minutes later, when our walk on the beach ended, these friends were settling in to gaze at the ocean on plastic chairs they had hauled down many steps from the house above.

- The houses on the beach are beautiful, but I kind of like these cottages that are a bit inland.  And these gnarly trees make me think of a haunted forest.  :)

I think this is it for the beach pics.  Loved my few days there...

The sights and sounds and smells of the ocean restores the soul!

I can lose myself more in the gnarly tree than in the beach. the idea of a haunted forest tempts my imagination.

Lovely misty shots by the sea. I can understand why you had such a good time. I'm not a great fan of beaches, but somehow they seem more appealing when they are empty and out of season.

Love virtually empty beaches, and sandcastles. The trees have my heart though...

I love the beach...sometimes I just ache for the smell of the ocean. The beach is beautiful at any time...through all types of weather...I just love it! :)

Hi Lynn - love the idea of a cottage somewhat away from the beach, with gnarled trees to sit under ... and good sandcastle ... they must have had fun building it ..

Cheers Hilary
