Let it snow, a novelty and feeder action

- Someone at my church's preschool had the foresight to decorate the bulletin board at the entrance with a "Let it snow" theme.  We got less than 1" of snow.  Woo hoo!  But it was fun to go home early on Friday just in case it got bad.  The mayor of Atlanta (a cautious man) sent a robocall to all of the businesses in the city that said to vacate by 3pm.

- And here it is - Saturday morning.  It didn't even stick to the sidewalk.  :)  But I stepped outside around 11pm on Friday night and loved watching the flakes fall.  It's very rare for our area, so it's a novelty when it happens.  I feel for the people in the northeast - it's hard to imagine dealing with snow like that.

- My late mother's bird feeder got lots of action all day on Saturday.  They probably wonder what the heck happened and why didn't they just go to Costa Rica!

Hi Lynn - glad you were safe and sound ... some poor people had it really bad - amazing how piles of snow can crush a roof down ...

Wonderful notice board ... cheers Hilary

A light dusting of snow is lovely, but the extreme snow in some places is awful for so many reasons!

I think we had about the same about of snow a couple of weeks ago, and I'll be happy if we see no more than that this year, but there's still time! Snow is beautiful as long as you don't need to go anywhere or food shop for an elderly mother who can't get out of her house. We've just had some terrible wind and rain storms apparently due to bad weather in the States.

We got more snow than you and we barely got any. Everyone in Oklahoma is rejoicing about our easy winter. Crazy people! I remember the worst blizzard ever in Oklahoma the winter of '68 in February. Never count your chickens...

Meanwhile, the weather forecast for this week in Toronto is rain, rain, rain. It's all topsy turvy!
