Rainbow, summer growth and late bloomer

- One evening last week, after a long, wearying day, neighbor Rhonda knocked on my door and said I need to come see the rainbow.  I'm so glad she did, or I would have missed it.

- My potted plants leading to the front door are in mid-summer growth now, quite a difference between now and when this photo was taken in early May.  (Actually - it's not mid-summer yet, it just seems as if it is.  My coworker and I were laughing about a clothing catalog with the title "Late Summer Sale!"  Wouldn't that be more like mid-September??? )

- And I love that the Crape Myrtle trees bloom when they do - after so many other blooms begin to fade away.

Hello, the rainbow is pretty. Your flowers look lovely. Our Crepe Myrtle is not blooming yet, maybe soon. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Rainbows are so joyful! Flowers are healthy and blooming! Hot California doesn't always allow for such blooms.

It's been awhile since I have seen a rainbow, thanks for sharing yours, Lynn. The Crepe Myrtles may be in bloom when we return to the VA eastern shore for a visit in a couple of weeks.

You have had more rain than I have, the potted plants look lovely.
Crepe myrtles line I=20 in this county, the work of one incredible woman, I always think of her when I see them blooming.

Isn't it wonderful to have friends who know what you enjoy? You would have hated to miss that rainbow. It looks like something from a book. One of my friends will text me from time to time to look some specific direction for a beautiful sight...sunrise, sunset, full moon, bright star, etc.

I used to once upon a time have lots of potted plants, not so much or many these days.

Awesome rainbow pic! All the weeds are doing well in the garden now- can't really skip to once a week weeding, n can't keep up. But do have some pretty flower pics I grew that I hope to post at some point. i noticed Bacxk to School sales all over here- I like how they take turns blooming -

I'm glad you caught the rainbow.

Mid summer? I'm still waiting for it to start here in the UK. I've worn a t-shirt once so far this year!

Thanks, Rhonda! She's a good neighbour. :-)

I love that retail is so out-of-sync with the actual seasons. It means that stuff goes on sale about the time that I actually want to be wearing it.

It's always worth dropping what you're doing to see a rainbow
