Hanging out, the little things and looking up

I believe this might be a landscaping truck my car was sitting behind yesterday morning a little after 7am on the way to work.  If you click to enlarge, you can see that it has a monkey hanging on the back of it.  It made me smile, which is a good thing for the early morning like that.  :)

Later - a nice customer came into the printing company and we talked about liking "the little things" - the smell of coffee, drinking coffee, the rustle of the newspaper, reading the newspaper.

And later still, my friend Erica posted on facebook, "If you haven't already, take a minute and go outside and look up!  The sky is absolutely gorgeous tonight!  The sliver moon and planets are playing peek-a-boo in the clouds!  Simple pleasures!"  I didn't see her post until this morning, but it made me wish I had had a peek of that beauty.  I like that she did.

Have a lovely weekend, my friends!

Little things are often the most important things. I go with my head down and need to pay more attention because I live in a land little things. I would have totally missed the monkey.

Yes, catch and savor the little things, for they are where blessings are found!

Nice, Lynn!

It's a two way street; when you are trying to accomplish something (let's say with a group) the expression is "The devil is in the details;" which is true!

But to take time to appreciate (even) the little things is a lot better place to be in when considering details and small things, most definitely!

The joy and beauty of life are in the little things, that's for sure!

I agree, the little things are what often brings a smile to my face. Was at a Popeye's picking up take-out after a very long frustrating day and came across a young man (less than 10) and his father. His father graciously offered to let me go ahead of him and his son, but I gestured to him to go ahead. Got a smile when the young man decided to mix up his refill with punch and soda.

I wonder how long that monkey lasts on the back of that truck! I hope no light-fingers lift it!

It's the little things indeed, but all too often most folks simply forget or overlook them.

I spotted the monkey right away. A sense of humor is mandatory in traffic! It's true the little things are the best things in life. The sky show is always my favorite -a foggy moon we had tonight I tried pics of, but too out of focus because the rolling fog didn't co-operate. Here comes a lot of snow again.

Just knowing that the smell and taste of coffee exists makes me appreciate life.

Love the monkey on the back of the lorry, very cute.

I think enjoying the simple things in life is something we all need to learn to do. And you have a habit of doing just that here on your blog.
