Jake, bright spot and evening stars

- A client's dog greeted me and leaned against my legs while I rubbed his side. Jake is a mixed breed dog who came from the Atlanta Humane Society. Later, he stood in the loading dock door and watched me drive away.

- Having a spontaneous lunch with Leisa at the friendliest place ever, Figo, enjoying arugula salad with shaved parmigiano reggiano drizzled with lemon vinaigrette.

- Becoming so drowsy at my circle gathering that I nod off for a moment, then look up to smiles from other women who know what it's like to never get enough sleep.

oh, I really miss Figo. I used to always get taliatelle with shrimp and zucchini. so delicious! which one did you go to? the one in Decatur has a real-live Italian guy who shouts Italian at people all the time: "PREGO! ARRIVEDERCI!"

I know - they make you feel so welcome there. We went to the one near my office on Collier Road. I am making a note on what you got so I can get that next time - I know you know your food!
