More fun here, delight and all the ages

- No doubt! A 30ish man with shaved head and cool glasses, carrying a newspaper, walks up to unlock the door while I photograph the sign. He looks around and smiles. I wave a thank you.

- Having a discussion with a co-worker about how we should always endeavor to delight our customers. Mr C's seems intent on doing that. I look for it in other places, too. Last evening I called to find out when my favorite employee at Chico's will be in to work. She never forgets my name and for that she always gets my business.

- Struck by this quote from Monday, October 5 on my FranklinCovey planner: "You aren't just the age you are. You are all the ages you ever have been." Kenneth Koch

I think you spotted Mr. C, Lynn!

Great customer service is becoming so rare that any evidence of it is not only wonderful, but needs to be encouraged!

That's a neat quote. I'm laughing - I don't think I want to add up my ages! But it's true that who we were at various stages is part of who we are!

If he is the cook he won't have to wear a hair net.

Yes, it's that personal contact, isn't it??

Now there's something I've thought about before but never worded that eloquently.

It's always more fun having someone else cook and wash up the dishes for you!

I'm glad the guy smiled at you and didn't shake his fist!

I'm with Joey!

That's nice that you patronize certain people.

I wonder if that was him. Certainly a hip looking guy. I loved that quote...

Jannie -

Good point - he didn't have the look of someone who would have his fingers in meatloaf. :)

And she and I got the job done tonight - I told her what I needed and she came up with it. She's great.

Isn't that a good way of putting it?

BB -

I could totally see a bunny being vegetarian. :)

Joe -

That's for sure! I work in a very laid-back neighborhood - no fist shaking around there. :)

Riot Kitty -

I think it might be some small town girl left in me - it is unusual in a city like Atlanta to have people that remember you.

I don't want to be my past ages... I only want to be one past age, 17!

Cookie -

17 must have been a good year!
