Red hatter, no charge and pure contentment

- While pumping gas, spotting a "Red Hat Contractor" in her purple truck adorned with red hat logo. And impressed that this "over 50" woman, wearing a purple t-shirt, but no hat, has her own driveway paving business.

- At another gas station across town, Ryan carefully checks my tires for proper pressure after someone tells me a tire looks low. He sends me off with no charge.

- Finally sinking into the sofa after a long day with a salad of dark greens, steamed broccoli, feta cheese, Kalamata olives and a lemon Dijon dressing. The best part - a white wine spritzer and Grey's Anatomy from last week on the DVR.

I wonder if she has red hard hats for her business?

Now that sounds like a delicious salad. I love feta cheese! I'm glad you had a relaxing evening.

LOL - that would be great. I am so impressed with her for doing that. Me - I'm an working indoors sort of gal.

That is my standard salad and can be thrown together very quickly. I like putting the steamed broccoli on top of the greens and feta so that it makes kind of a warm salad. I make the dressing and shake it up in a Mason jar. Yum.

Thank you for stopping by.

Jewel -

This is the first I've heard of a Red Hat contractor - but I admire that go-getting spirit.

How cool that the "Red Hat" lady ran her own business. I admire anyone who has a dream and goes for it!

The salad sounds a bit too healthy for me! :D

Joe -

I admire that, too.

I am supposed to be watching my cholesterol, so this is my attempt to have something healthy. And I like it, but also french fries. A little too much. :)

Oh, that salad sounds absolutely delicious! I love olives!
And kudos to anyone brave enough to drive a purple truck! Seriously, very cool!

Yeah I just had that same salad again for dinner. I never seem to get tired of it. But sometimes it has ravioli in it or other things.

If I needed driveway paving, I'd totally call her. :)

Pretty truck! Looks alot like Little Truck in diff color, without cap, too!
I gotta do my own tires every week-
self-serve.
Making me hungry again! Grey's early seasons was playing on Fox all week-end here!
